Hi Riddish, I mean this in the nicest possible way, so dont take this as a smarmy response. This shard has thought of everything. Every question anyone has ever asked has been both asked and answered a million times over. Feel free to ask any question you have, but you will most assuredly find the answers you need quicker here. No worries at all man. If you ever need help in game please PM me. I have no problems walking you through or watching your back while you train. I can heal you while you fight monsters or I can raise a noob right alongside of you. Best way to make money is with a tamer and if you follow this guide exactly you can be making some great gold very fast.
TL;DR summary version: Step 1. Create a character with 50 taming, 50 magery, 10 STR and 10 INT. Step 2. Immediately lock your STR and INT so you don't forget! Step 3. Tame scorpions, and then add snakes at 59.1. Use a 2nd character to drag spawn. Step 4. When you get to 67 (you can actually stop at 66.2), raise your STR and INT to 100 and you will then be at 71.1 or higher. Step 5. Tame bulls at Jhelom until GM. You can also do hellhounds, pre-tamed bulls in a bull factory/Delucia, frenzied ostards, or whatever else you prefer.
Hi Riddish, and Welcome!! Young program lasts for 400 hours. You can exit the young program (for example to place a house outside Ocllo, which has no more room because of the irregular terrain), and then re-enter young program. You can do this around 5 times, I think (exit and rejoin young). Be aware that if you place a house and re enter young program, you cannot leave the island and visit your own house (I did it, but made another non-young toon of mine friend of the house to take my stuff there). Last message before this one, you were suggested to create a tamer... well yes, we all agree tamer is the most powerfull template (provo tamer) for PVM around here. I made one for my daughter... just to get her hooked into the game, appealing fto girls typical love and care for animals... should I've known I would love a tamer so much, I would have made one for myself first (I am doing it now... and about to finish it). I would also recomend a bard. Most people here have a toon with musicianship and provocation. Not many put a second bard skill... but I have found peacekeeping is a life saver. A toon with magery, medit, music, provocation, peacekeping and hiding (and a last skill of your choice), is a kick ass on PVM, faster and easier to train than a tamer (I recomend doing both toons). yes you could make a tamer, its boring. long and a bit more boring. so while you are training that start a peace dexer. your basic warrior + music and peacemaking. heres mine: http://www.uorenaissance.com/player/600733
I currently have my first character well on his way and I'm making him a Provo mage with some hiding. I like all the build suggestions and I'll think about what I want to do for my next guy! Thanks for the welcoming all see you in Brittania!
Thank you so much for mentioning this! I bought a boat today, and disembarked without lowering the anchor, so I could not pack the ship up. When I tried to teleport onto it using the key, I was unable to as the boat was considered outside the young zone (near pirate sailors in Occlo). The only way I could get back to it, was to leave the young program and then rejoin once I had my boat safely packed away.
