Yep, we also had another few hours last night fighting CoM. CoM had some giant numbers but all in all it was a good time. There were not enough TB online last night and SL showed up to snag a couple rez kills then gate out. I believe we'll start seeing these large scale fights more often now.
We had a decent 5on5 with com. As the other groups got bigger i decided to stay out of it. What's weird is i think com was more successful when they were a smaller team last night.
I gave the guy advice. Good advice, too. That you don't agree with me doesn't give you permission to throw a shitfit. There isn't a group in Minax that can really nurture a new player right now. It's completely irresponsible to point players in that direction. I can't tell if you're just missing the point here, or want to trick new players into joining a faction where TB can farm them. New players should find groups to integrate into, not be trying to start up new factions on their lonesome. This seems like common sense. It's funny how I can be sitting here trying to give new players good advice and you're still up in here trying to paint us as the bad guy. And this is just pure propaganda. Shame on you, Cynic.
Are you completely blind or just ignorant to the fact that Mandevu (a Minax player at the core) is interested in training players? It's not about disagreeing with you. It's just that you're completely incorrect in your assumptions. What's irresponsible is how you're spouting off negativity to new players instead of fostering more positive growth for the shard. You've already said I should quit but seriously, wtf are you doing here? I don't farm players and I'm sorry that's the only conclusion you can draw with your scope of intellect. PS: I don't need permission to do anything.
I feel like you're being just as toxic as you're claiming napo is, and I truly say that with no bias, just an observation.
There's nothing negative about it. I've seen absolutely no results of roman's attempts to teach new players, other than a few videos of them running around a town. I've seen no sign of them on the field, and the minax crew is still the highly insular sandro, roman, jleem, budou team that has never really taken new blood in. I've been playing against these people for years, and not once I have seen them take in and educate new players. Minax has never been the learning faction, it's always been a faction for wealthy and experienced players. One thing I have seen, however, is people in minax actually go to the trouble to PK new players that join their faction. In my opinion, it's not a good place for newbies to start out. Sorry that you disagree, but it's really no reason for all the shit talk you're doing. Call it negative or whatever, but you're the one in here accusing people of "shitting on the thread" for stating opinions while I am being civil.
Narrow views restrict understanding. Mandevu specifically trained elhorno, who, while not on Minax, is a sound PvPer now. You've fought against his training and he's still out there extending the scope of his education. We've actually been getting some good feedback from him after group fights, when we ask. That and the plain and simple fact that he's actually put himself out there to train others plain as day. Feel free to keep riding the Debbie Downer Express until you get to your final destination. We all got off the train ages ago.
So the new guys getting trained are on TB. I believe that's one of the factions I suggested that new players join. I'm not really sure why you're calling me negative, by the way. There's nothing negative about helping new players to find a faction that's a good fit for them.
he's calling you negative because that's what blaise does. he has a personal vendetta which drives him to blanket the forums with a thick crust of anti-SL propaganda; he has ever since i was rude to him and he left SL. this is why every time mes, napo or myself make a post on these forums blaise will reliably follow with something accusatory. i hope that clears up why this thread and every other thread concerning factions on these forums is a garbled mess of misinformation and trash talk; it's blaise's most notable contribution to UOR.
I'm calling you negative because painting Minax as a TB subsidiary and saying the other three factions are the best place to look, was a negative comment. Minax had a couple folks who swapped alts to TB to find fights when we had them and Minax had too few to rally with. Now that the core of Minax is back, their numbers are back to normal and they have a good deal of skill on their team. Quite frankly, despite Liberation's overblown ego thinking I give a shit about following his posts on these forums, you can check your forum history and see quite plainly which of us is dragging shit into a ton of threads, in lieu of actual discourse on the topic at hand.
There's nothing negative about the truth. Minax and TB are very closely tied. Minax has traditionally not been supportive to newbies (and has killed them for joining minax at times) and when they're recruited it's always been old, experienced, and rich players. I've never known it to be a good faction for newbies. You say the core of Minax, but who is the core of minax? There's Sandro and Roman. And Cynic, who is in TB. And Naga Shadow, which is one of Roman's characters being played by a mysterious person. So mysterious that they muted the audio in their last group of videos to hide whoever it is. Are they going to let any newbies that join in on their account sharing secret? So far, Minax's core is two guys who have spent more time shitting on newbies than helping them, a guy in TB, and a guy who shouldn't be playing the account that he's on. You know, if anyone gave a shit about the rules here.
It's Break of Dawn from uo gamers hybrid. He didn't have a character old enough to join factions so I let him use one so we could field with more than 3 people against the numbers of the other factions.
I mean if you really want me to I can still post some of the actual videos so you can hear his damn voice, but you'll prolly just come up with some other theory.
You know I was going to be quiet, since I've been talked to about this. but since you're here calling me a conspiracy theorist, I'll clear the air a little bit navigate yourself to this link and read the part where it says: • There will be a limit of 3 accounts online per IP address. Sharing access to your accounts with others is expressly forbidden. This can result in the loss of access to the accounts in question. You were clearly account sharing. That is very clearly in violation of this very clear language, which says "sharing access to your accounts with others is expressly forbidden". I've been informed that this is actually incorrect, and that's it's fine to share accounts if you have less than three (coincidentally something only the admins can know) but you very clearly violated the rules as they are stated on the website. This is not a crackpot theory. This is fact. I've been informed that the rules will be rewritten in the near future to reflect the way that things actually are, but make no mistake: theory is not a word that correctly describes my statements about account sharing. I realize that everyone here does it and everyone covers each others asses about it and that the idea that it's bad is somewhat of an unpopular opinion, but until a point in the near future the rules clearly say that it's forbidden. I did nothing but make a good faith effort to point out what was seemingly a violation of the rules clearly stated on the site. It's not like I'm haphazardly spinning conspiracy theories.
lol @ going to be quiet. Oh, and just in case you missed this part in English: "Can" is not a synonym for "will".
Yes, that seems to unfortunately be how it is around here. The rules could be enforced, but they probably won't be. Anyway, I resigned myself to the fact that this was not a battle that could be won some time ago. I was simply defending myself against Roman's accusations.
