How do the short term murder counts work here? I played Siege Perilous for years and the murder system was different.

If you kill someone, then you can't resurrect for any reason for 8 hours, otherwise you lose stats?

Or is it simply the old system where you only lose stats if you insta-resurect? (i.e. without a healer)

Every time you get a murder count you get two different kinds of count: Short-term and long-term.

Short-term counts decay one per 8 hours, long-term counts decay one per 40 hours.

If you have 5 or more long-term counts you are red. This means you are freely attackable, wandering healers (and shrines other than the chaos shrine) won't heal you, and guards may be called to kill you if you enter town.

If you have 5 or more short-term counts you will get stat loss if you resurrect. Counts add up so a very prolific PK could potentially have to wait months to resurrect without stat loss. The maximum stat loss is 20% I think.

The way in which you are resurrected doesn't matter here. Resurrecting at all with 5+ short-term counts guarantees stat loss.

15% and i was going to type this stuff but you beat me to the punch, dick

stat and skill loss are permanent and you will have to retrain them if you choose to res while you have 5 or more short terms

Gotta keep those carpals untunneled so you can cripple some oranges and fill some graveyards.
