He's upset about something that doesn't have anything to do with him. In fact, it has so little to do with him that he knows nothing about it or how it works.

You keep going in circles over and over again, let me break it down one time for you Fishers obtain amibs which in turn they sell for money which is where they generate most of their cash which if nerfed would nerf how much money a fisher would make.

Do you know how much fishers make from amibs? You obviously don't.

Reds and blues bring in 60-65k *gasp*
Purples and Greens bring in around 90-100k

Not sure why the difference. I assume it has to do with difficulty.

On an average week I might bring in 2 or 3 amibs...maybe 5 if I get lucky (which is very lucky). I know I said my best night was a lot more than that, but the part that you most likely missed, since you do that, is that was the BEST night I've had...since October. Most of those amibs are reds and blues. Greens and purples are very rare, even among amibs, which are rare.

I suggested changing tracking since I want to pirate again which agrees with what you are suggesting. However you indicate that I'm arguing the other point, against any changes which is wrong.

As for AFK fishers... you obviously have no idea of how I fish. I've fished for exploration, to chat with a friend while exploring the UOR fishing system when the server launched, to get a break from the grind of farming (when I used to farm for gold) or whatever skill I might have been training - GMing locking picking comes to mind... I've made hardly any gold fishing compared to other things.

Anyways... you seem to be trolling and I'm thinking you might be Blaise. If not, maybe he can give you a ribbon. @Blaise

I stopped reading the other posts in this thread after your misrepresentation of me but I do hope we get tracking back in. I like giving prizes for PKing on the seas during the fish tourneys.

Ok so we are getting to the heart of the matter here. You don't like the fact that with patience and persistence fishing can become a somewhat lucrative activity for the casual gamer. Your insistance in nerfing it suggests a UO:R form of class envy. It says to me that you don't want fishers to have that somewhat comfortable niche and you feel that the gold they make from their sweat equity is not deserved. This logic would follow that crafters should be limited to crafting in public work stations outside the guard zones because after all, its not fair that they craft in the comfort and safety of their homes. Nope, nerfing fishing could start a downward spiral that would destroy the shard. Just my 2 gps.

With fishing can't you go 99.9 and just avoid the gump? Someone correct me if I am wrong.
