No you won't, because that's around half of the total amount of money you have left in the game and then you will be asking me to borrow money!!! LOL
Yes, in my experience if you give much more than 15-20k, you spoil/ruin that player You should be able to get a couple hundred of each reg, a suit of armor and some instruments and a horse with that money, with some left over And then you should ask in IRC to be set up in a provo house. Wodan/PS are soo kind they will kite the mobs you need Also downstairs in the sewers there's a place with harpy and troll you provo You will GM in, like, 36 hours? Make sure you started your char with 50 magery. Make char on 2nd account with 50 magery/50 lumber. Use dagger to gather kindling at least 1k Macro camping to raise str/int Depending how much gold you have left, buy full spellbook, buy 1k mandrake root and 1k sulphurous ash Cast lightning to get magery up(and med, eval, resist) Now get GM instrument from player vendor Now go farm Arctic Ogre Lords. Make sure you have recall macro and you keep reflect up 24/7 or you will get PK'd That's it.
Damn - dude joins the forums today - asks to buy money at 2:00 - gets given a bunch (no issues with that at all), also gets given a bunch of solid advice, doesn't thank anyone and then at 6:00 starts a new thread asking for advice on house placement. Slow your roll @Willy - maybe try and enjoy the game for a New York minute, this isn't monopoly my dude - feel free to take a stroll around the board man....some things are better left to mature. Like cheese. And weed. And weed.
I wouldn't let my weed mature. Maybe cured in a sealed jar? That reminds me of a story of a friend who had a lot of beef with his brother, so he hid a bag of stale weed behind his brother's headboard of his bed. That shit got staler and staler til it started growing spores n shit His brother had sinus problems for months
I already help willy this morning. Imho, no need other donations. I give enought to buy some regs, a tiny house and a horse. Have fun @Willy!
Didn't realize this thread would cause so much controversy lol!!! Working on my chat now. Just always enjoyed having a little house. I'm an in game hoarder and once I can kill some monsters which I'm getting there I can earn that money quick But Shad did help me out and at much appreciated. No more needed. Just advice! Like I posted on my other one! Thanks everyone
No dramas dude! Glad your all sorted and set up to get cracking, you'll quickly realise that one of the best elements of this place is the community and how willing people are to help. Enjoy your abode, I'd whole heartedly reccomend getting out the house now and then and exploring the world, I thought it would be exactly the same as OSI days but it's not -it's better, and again I think that's solely down to the people and the community, there are places I never ventured too back in the day for different reasons but this place is amazing and has so many unique elements too that you'll definitely miss if you're holed up! Enjoy bud!
Wouldn't take much lol. Just spent 30 mins trying to get my stuff from my body in shame. Not ready for that yet....
Kill the stuff in Occlo for a while man. That noob dungeon even has a dragon. It's a great starter island to build up skills, explore it. Rushing around will get you salty
With this, I'll donate the resources to get you built up. Do the work, you'll appreciate the gameplay more
Guys, helping new players with gold doesn't help them. I suggest, once seeing a player pull himself up from his own bootstraps, you reward his hard work with hued/blessed clothing and/or ethy's and/or blessed runebooks If I were a newer player seeking to establish myself, nothing would motivate me more than being indebted to a veteran of the server who offered any of the above I reckon that newer player would likely be partial to hue 1150 hair dye and/or hue 1150 clothing (white signifies purity)
So getting back into the game, but it is much too complicated. Telemon created the new player program for this. All other questions can be answered in irc. Don't ask for money. Follow the guides provided. Put the hours in.
^exactly, the new player experience is extremely rich and well thought out on this shard. A player will miss out on a lot of fun experiences and interactions with other players by skipping the Ocllo new player program. I don't remember the last time I saw someone actually recruiting in person at the bank for their guild in this game. It must have been ages since I've seen that.
