    Hey all!

I have a quick question regarding the need for 'tactics'. I'm building a provoke/mage with the following skills:

    Magery
    Med
    Eval
    Music
    Provoke

For the last two skills, I was thinking Archery and Anatomy, knowing I'd do less damage, but I thought it might be fun (it would also give me defensive wrestling). However, I don't know if I need tactics as a skill, or if the only downside to not having it is ~20% less damage, etc.

Can anyone fill me in on the need for tactics in a archer build?

I'd go with fishing and peace.

    Thanks for the reply guys!

The reason I was staying away from peacemaking and entice, was because I believe they share the same cool down with provoke. Wouldn't that make them pretty useless, assuming my main goal will be to provoke?

I like the idea of fishing as a skill though, definitely sounds like fun!

There are many situations where having Peace comes in handy before you Provoke. Sometimes the two mobs you want to provoke are very difficult, and also too far away from each other. You could die if they both attack you at once, but you could probably fend off a hit or two from one of them before a provoke happens. Thus, you peace the first one, run away/hide/invis for 10 seconds, then Provoke the both of them.

Likewise, you could end up facing several at once. You could provoke 2 mobs, but what if there are 2 more in striking range? You could Peace a 3rd mob, and either run away or paralyze the 4th while you wait for your bard timer to come back. This is how I handle Rat Valley with a character with low dps and low resist :).
