Night of Horrors Challenge Event - Halloween 2015

Hmm Chris if this is the case could you still run the event and tabulate the points but hide them so the system knows who participated but don't broadcast the point totals or leader? Sometimes just hiding the information so people don't see the same person winning events over and over can calm people down. Sadly I'm happy with how the event is I just like having some fun but I have to admit some of the whining lately is nuts.

If I can find a blade, a club'll do til I get a pointy stick!......just hate searching the chests to see nothing =/

Yup, let em stew a bit and catch all the 'second event starts in 10mins' messages.

This event is epic Chris, th only problem is th hoarders but within 5-10mins you're usually able to find a usable weapon if you didn't get anything in th inn.

Ugn, I'm not a fan of this. I like seeing the scores and trying to figure out how the game works. Unfortunately I haven't cracked the top 3 yet, but I'll keep working on it. And seeing who does well each time makes me able to try to follow and watch them the next time and see what they're doing that is effective.

The unfortunate fact is, most people don't do these events for the event experience, they do it for the "rewards" in terms of coins and items. As long as people are doing the events for the end reward, there will be whining about the rewards or lack thereof. If people actually joined these events for the experience itself, everyone would walk away happy, since the one thing that is guaranteed to be given out is the experience... of helplessness, of scavenging for items, of teaming up on a boss (or trying to rally people to do so), etc. I am constantly amazed at how ingrained the need for a pixelated reward from these things is. And I realize on this shard I'm probably one of the more pixel-oriented players, but sometimes you gotta shut that off to be able to experience other parts of this ridiculous and amazing game.

I'd be at all of these NoH events that I could attend, regardless of pixels in my pack. Sadly, that is a major driver for attendance in the free shard world.

Fun and game play is seemingly only a reward to a few people.

If I had a dollar for every time Telamon and I were chatting and he said "You know, I think I'll just scrap [REDACTED] because all it does is generate more work because no one can be happy with it.", I'd be able to donate twice as much as I already do.

I do complain and I do have my gripes but really, every time I get to log in is another blessing bestowed upon me by some guy I don't know who's toiling away to make that happen for me and everyone else. In the end, all I can do is be thankful, try to be supportive and contribute where I can.

I just placed a tower and I plan on putting up 100k towards rewards for a either a Backgammon Tourney or a bagball league starting next Month. Just working on details. I'm as FIRED UP as the last time... OK most of you guys aren't old enough to hear that stuff. But now that I have some space and resources I am looking forward to interacting a bit more with the community

I appreciate your line of thought in creating the event. At the NoH I attended, I was just happy to see all these characters I've never met gathering around in their finest loin cloth to play the game together for a while. I didn't realize there'd be participation prizes and was fine being rewarded a holiday bag in spite of my terrible performance.

I just scheduled time off from work to attend these events. They are legit.

I'm skipping my sisters sweet 16 on friday to attend the event...

I hope he does. Tell him you can set him up with a sweet training house and a check for 50k and you'll likely boost the shard pop by 1 and jump up in line for the next promo.
