It has been happening in Felucca, for days, in Skara Brae. Have you not had your opportunity to be res-killed and dry looted by either TT or HateCrime & Bartimus? You must not be trying hard enough.
whoa bro that was special for you. I've only been back on blues since to chase bart and HC back under their rocks. But i can't keep up with their 24/7 schedules anyways.
If that's how you treat your bros, I'll respectfully request that you not consider me one. Stay classy. Then again, I'm sure the special treatment bartimus and hatecrime gave to Avery and Les was right on the same chord. Seems you guys should maybe guild up?
How about one account per player. K thx. Argue against the original rules. Ive been on for a month now.. and "ghosting" while I go try to accrue money has been very annoying... PKs run rampant.. 500 players online is not great when everyone has 3 players macroing. Troll me.
You can turn the fact that we can have 3 accts to your favor. We will have to live with this reality. I finally GM lockpicking 2 weeks ago. I kept some basic records of the loot. The avg gold per run of the 2 books, was 9-10k. I also picked the lvl 3 chest at locations with one. I collected everything from the chests except most scrolls. Though you could damn near fill a book with them if you did. Blah blah blah... the short of it is that you can get a lockpicker going real fast and be making an ass load of gold on your way to GM. Its one the of best, cheapest ways to make steady gold + items at a very low risk. PM if interested and Ill get you setup.
Just so everyone knows, the Mask dye is stated as hue 44 for the rewards however the reward from the Halloween Vendor is in fact hue 43 and 44 is apparently not available this Halloween.
If you have an issue with PK's maybe you should try farming different areas. "PK's running rampant" is just not something I see as far as the world as a whole. Most reds check the usual major hot spots, boss spawns etc.
Not to troll you but the staff do a pretty good job at curbing any type of ghosting. You're more than likely not being ghosted. Most PKs that don't run solo, and even the ones that do run solo, have tracking or a blue that they will track with. So you are most likely being tracked. Otherwise it's a PK just randomly checking hot spots. If you're farming a hot spot then you should expect a visit from a PK, I mean this should be common knowledge now.
lol please You are teamed up with those people - and everyone knows that I would defend Avery and Les and never team up with those two. All of SL know not to attack Avery (and obviously Les.) What can you say about yours?
If you (or any one else) ever experiences TT PKing someone and res killing them, please contact me and I'll get it taken care of. Excessive res killing is something we frown upon in most instances.
I team up with them in CTF and some events because no one I used to roll with (in PvP) ever contacts me to do such things (apparently that's my responsibility). Not sure what else you're noticing that I'm unaware of. I don't have anyone else on the mic to do events with so that's who I game with there. We're not guilded, I don't PK, and I don't 'roll' with them, if that's what you're implying. So if you want to say "What can you say about yours" then you must be referring to the entire shard and all the people in it, as we are just as closely tied. Unless you mean Adventure Time and they all know there's no PKing in the guild or they'll follow suit with bartimus. You PKed and res-killed me, just like they PKed and res-killed Avery and Les over whatever grudge/butthurt they have, just like you did. The comparison was sound. If Avery and Les don't see that you're just as trashy because you'll pick and choose who to dryloot and res-kill, that's their own choice. Much like you, bart also PKs and on his blues turns around and helps new players and does good for the shard that you like to ignore because he betrayed you a couple times or something I guess. Bartimus once held his hand on the both of them and all of A^T actually for a long time. After getting snubbed and totally ignored on his blues and in communications channels for being a PK or being bad or a dick or whatever, I'm pretty sure he stopped giving a crap about them and eventually figured why the hell not. Just like you've stopped giving a crap about it with me, just because we have differing opinions. Oh, and I guess you don't like it when you call me a faggot and I return the favor. You can talk shit in IRC all day about someone dropping nbombs and in the same breath spout offensive shit like that without batting an eyelash. People call me a hypocrite without any citations to warrant it. There's the citation, for you being a hypocrite. Your shit stinks just like theirs. You use bugs to your advantage and claim it was for testing or whatever bullshit you think keeps you sounding clean. You have a million claims of what you think HC is doing on what characters. Yeah, he's a dick too but at least he's honest about it and I can't honestly cite more than 15 characters I've ever seen him on. I can honestly cite about 10-12 if I think back on it long enough. The fact that I can forgive people, accept them for how they play, play with them at certain times but not the ones I don't agree with, is what makes me different than you, and you just like them. You've received the very same acceptance and forgiveness, unless you've forgotten that you were all dry looting shitbags when you got here. So by all means, stay on that high horse, pretend to be a good guy protecting the innocent while dry looting and reskilling me because what? Because my words aren't patting your back or stroking your dicks all the time for being PKs while also defending good people at IDOCs? I would CTF with you guys too but just like them, I'm not going to PK people, dryloot and reskill just to be a dick. Get over yourselves.
We are not going to get to the last bosses until some of the folks that are looting all the silver and all the bandages start letting others have weapons. I have seen the same person running around with at least two silver weapons and asking to trade for another. This same person has done this every time i see them. This is a team event that some seem to think is solo. Some blacksmiths are showing up and helping. Your "quote unquote" good teams are costing the whole group to lose. In the last three events i have had a total of 8(4+4) bandages and i got them all at the end with like 3-4 minutes left. The instance is great and I like it, as such, I wish some of these resource hogs would realize they are hurting themselves by bening such pigs with resources. In one event the person i was teamed with for crosshealing(Big joke) both of us never got bandages. Good example I did not get one bandage at mummy as others macros and scav seem to be faster than mine. This is a game not a coding event!
^I have not done the event this year, but this doesn't sound like last year. I recall having plenty of stuff to fight with. Are the supplies being hard to come by a result of the vacuum cleaner macros/scavenging from when containers were added to corpses?
I know that I advised anybody who wants to stand a chance of looting items to add every type of weapon/armor/scroll that they are interested in to a restock macro setting a limit of maybe 2-3. So every chest they auto loot they're going to take 2-3 weapons. Anybody I have advised to do this I have recommended that anything they don't "need" they drop on the ground for others to swoop up, but I'm not sure if that standard of behavior is common among all. That's just who I am, it doesn't make me better or worse than anybody else. but yeah, we UO addicts adapt quite fast, and now that this isn't a 'brand new' event there is a stratification that occurs with those who "know what to do to get loot" and those who do not.
^ Gladiator, I feel your pain, problem is these events are chaotic and dynamic with the added rabid run for pixel crack. It's as it was designed, a mad dash for resources and survival. There are a few people that are there making weapons but other than that it's survival of the fittest. I see alot of teams running in these events and that's to be expected. My advice, join a guild and try to get a bunch of guild members to run the event with you, then split up the resources all of you collect (more people equals more chances to obtain needed resources). Three or four "friends" surrounding a creature allows the best chance for that group to obtain the loot dropped from that creature. On another note, I can only say this. I've been playing this game for 17+ years and the personality types that play never change. On this server there is a large community of assholes, sociopathic pricks and pixel hoarding nerds that will do anything (and I mean anything to the point of OCDx100) to obtain their pixel crack, even if it means fucking over their friends, guildmates or the average player whether they be newb or vet. I took a break and I came back with a better attitude, I just play simply to play. I have seen the same old rinky dink bullshit since I returned, ie. having silver vanqs disarmed/stolen by HC and Bart during the Skara event, it pisses me off for a bit but it's just pixels and I can always get more. Hell I've even had all my holiday coins stolen while trying to put them in the bank, but there will be other events. Point of this is, just play the game, because at the end of the day IT"S JUST A GAME. It's free, doesn't cost you dime, so just relax and don't let the asshats ruin your game (because there's alot of them that love to do just that), blow it off and just roll with it.
ReZon, I think it has more to do with the events being constantly over the designed capacity. It was designed for like 40 players, not 60+, so it's going to be painful. I agree that far too many people are greedy and would rather hold 200 bandages than hand 10 over to someone with 0. Not many would admit to it because deep down they should feel bad for being so greedy. I've played my crafter more than anything else at these events so far this year and it has been a blast. However, you can't please everyone. I had a guy spamming me that I was ruining the event yesterday. Dunno what the hell that was about but oook. Just take it while it lasts folks. It's likely to be the last year of this specific configuration for these events.
Blaise - gotcha. That makes sense. I would suck at this event then, as I still roll old school and click and drag my loot. Kudos on crafting for the event, that's got to be helpful for folks.
Yes. There are still some weapons that drop on the top-level corpses of monsters, but I think those are of random magical quality. I think the ones in the monster loot packs have a higher chance to be silver, so they get vacuumed up. (I am not 100% sure about this though, as I only did a couple of events and have been unable to attend since then). I usually go through at least 100 bandages per runthrough, so I will not stop grabbing them until I have about 130 just to be safe. This does mean that I will pick up every bandage I find for the first 2/3 of the event, leaving nothing for others behind me. The typical chest seems to have maybe four stacks of 20 bandages. That said, I also don't even bother trying to loot from the initial Britain inn, because for some reason my client freezes when the event starts, for about 5-10 seconds, and by the time I see the inn and can move, everything is gone.
Has there been any rare weapons dropped at either the NOH or overland event? I'd like to see a sweet axe, spear or sword. I got what I wanted already, a full set of pitted bone armor I bought from Mes, THANKS MES!! I just thought it would be cool to see some rare weapon drops.
