   If you are friended to a pack animal you can give it commands but opening its pack to check contents seems to register as snooping with the "You have lost a lot of karma" message.
   
   I'd guess this isn't right? Hence the thread

   I think that's normal. The pack itself is owner accessible, the friend status doesn't grant that access privilege. Friend status just makes pets listen.
