    Any idea when the Kill list will populate correctly? I can't seem to get 1,000 kills to show up here, and an option to export all as a spreadsheet would be super awesome. I believe I sent you a message about this sometime over the Summer. Hopefully it's in the feature queue somewhere :)

    Other than that, patch looks good. Glad to see some anti-botting behavior and young player abuse going into place finally

    Speaking of books, would it be possible to allow locked down books to be read-able but not editable? Should be a simple fix? It would be good for player run libraries and other things like guild rules and info, etc. in books.

    You cant kill people in there house now with MS! Trammel!..
    What happened to the sandbox! cant even kill people in town.

    We will continue to look into the issue, but allowing players to kill other players in the center of a house is one of those situations in which you either fix it. Or you cease running a server.

    Well at least resist parties won't need bandages, and can run infinite casters

    That will most likely be addressed, as free resist is not the purpose of this change.

    and yea you'll need a proper solution for AoE damage, house killing, and resist.. current situation isn't good either... hrm

    Female leather/studded has also been fixed to take on the color of the leather used

    Most of these patch notes look fantastic, kudos on more great progress @Telamon.

    Explosion potions can still kill someone in the center of a small house I heard, any chance something can be done about that?

    I am not aware of a method in which this is possible, unless it is a small workshop or marble workshop. If anyone has any details please let me know.

    That doesn't even work in a workshop if they're in the enclosed part, purple pots dont travel far enough on the z axis

    I was able to kill some people that were still on the walls.. not center tiles of houses.. with explo pots by just placing them at my feet.

    To my knowledge, for the 2 years I've been here, MS/CL have (almost?) always done 1 damage in houses. This has made it so GMing resist is super easy. Wouldn't it make sense to just re-purpose these spells (you've re-purposed skills that you felt were not performing the way you wanted for a UOR era), or make them do 0 damage to people in homes? This would help balance out the fact that people are abusing the 1 spell damage for an easy ride to GM resist (and this patch makes that even easier to abuse).

    You obviously are dedicating a lot of time to develop other content, which is great, but do you really intend on handling this, or is it going to be placed on the back burner indefinitely?

    Seems like this would work:

    If the victim of meteor swarm or chain lightning is in a house region, the server checks where the caster is:

    A. If the caster is not in the same house region, then the spell actually disregards the victim completely (no hostile action, no fireball animation, no resist check, and no damage).

    B. If the caster is in the same house region, then it checks if the caster is a friend of the house. If true, then the spell registers a valid target and applies regular MS/CL damage/resist mechanics to all valid targets. If the caster is not a friend of the house then option A.



    I think this handles all the appropriate scenarios -

    Somebody tries to kill you in your own house (whether you are blue, grey, or red) from outside (whether outside, in another house, in a CY, or under a tower wing) - they can't.

    Somebody sneaks into your house and tries to kill you in another room through a wall - still can't.

    You want to train resist on your dragons or friends - works as long as the caster is a friend but then you'll want to make sure you have enough bodies to reduce the MS/CL damage down a lot like it works in overworld.

    You want to kill an enemy in your own house with MS/CL - you still can.



    I don't know that EQ has changed but keeping its functionality how it was (regular damage to everybody in range, regardless of house regions, it just can't do lethal damage to a player) seems fine to me.

    I think it's what amfeKk said, probably a detonation from outside the house, although the victim said he wasn't against the wall.
