This formula is still in development and will see some changes in the near future. It is a bit harsh at the moment when factoring in accessory skills. We like the function of a gm tracker vs a player with 0 hiding. But other situations still need work.
That's like a 28% chance at 40 tiles (entrance of ice dungeon to the AOL spawn). That's still, IMO, significantly harsh.
There should be very little resistance to a GM tracker by someone without hiding. You're negating 100 skill points vs 0 skill points.
28% at 40 tiles sounds fair if it's a GM tracker versus a GM Hider. If PvMers want immunity from PK's with tracking then the onus should be on THEM to train a defensive skill (hiding) versus the PK's offensive skill (tracking). I have GM hiding on my bard, if you want to protect yourself from trackers then I think requiring GM hiding to do so is fair and balanced.
why cant you just change HOW you track? you generally know people will be at farming spots - instead of tracking the players track the monsters.
if there are 3 AOL then theres likely nobody there. so if you see someone is farming then get closer where they still cant see you and go again.
if you arent happy wuth the 40 tiles how far exacty do you want to be able to track?
