Proposed use of empty building in towns...

if its possible to rent them that would be awesome. Got my full support! Bet its a lot of backend work though!

I think if a building was rentable in town, it would need to have a certain requirement to be met, such as are you renting it for a shard wide event, or some other function and not just "because I can". And definitely for short term.... like put a certain price per hour, and make a request form stating what type of function you are having, how long you need it for, etc. so it's not just some random person renting it for no apparent reason. I've always thought the big empty buildings like the counselor's guild halls would be great to rent out for events, and give them short term house commands like locking things down (tables, chairs) and ban capabilities to eject troublemakers and so on..

I think renting empty buildings in town SOLELY for vendor purposes would be cool, but...
I wouldn't want to see any aesthetic changes outside of maybe a sign post identifying the shop.
I think it would be a horrible idea to let people decorate these buildings as they see fit, essentially ruining the town's feel for others.

We always have a place for new players on the shard to stay. I also have a few houses on Ocllo island I dont mind friending new players to, as long as they dont mind those houses being a bit busy.
