Please add the red leafs when possible, they are used to seal books as to not be able to write in them again. They are normally grown through gardening but you could also make them as a monster drop. Also, player written books once spawned in public bookshelves are open for scripture, they do spawn random but its possible to just delete the entire thing and possibly make more empty copies to be spawned elsewhere.
Supposedly a book fix to seal them is in the works...many of us want to see this! @Alex Caember has a player run library for player written books
