Guide to Connecting a West Fortress to an East Tower

    Video Guide to This Process

Make sure that when placing the houses the tower is exactly 4 spaces from the fortress.
    BridgeRight_01.jpg

Make sure you have the necessary supplies.
    BridgeRight_02.jpg

Place a West (Tower) ladder against the outer wall of the fortress.
    BridgeRight_03.jpg

Place another West (Tower) ladder on top of the first ladder.
    BridgeRight_04.jpg

Use an axe to chop the bottom ladder and then place a West ladder 1 tile back from the first placement spot.
    BridgeRight_05.jpg

Place a stool where you placed the first ladder and lock it down. Using the interior decorator raise it up 16 times.
    BridgeRight_06.jpg

It should move in between the two ladders.
    BridgeRight_07.jpg

You should now be able to walk up both ladders.
    BridgeRight_08.jpg

Use the [where command and notice the location. In this example I am at 5567, 1231, 46. Make note of the 1231 as that is our x-axis.
    BridgeRight_09.jpg

Move to the tower use the where command again. Make sure you are on the same x-axis. In this example 1231.
    BridgeRight_10.jpg

Place a West (Tower) ladder against the tower wall.
    BridgeRight_11.jpg

And there you go. Your houses are now bridged. Just remember if someone can get access to one, they can get access to the other via the ladder. Make sure to add appropriate security/table walls.

If you place one tower ladder, and then another and target the first ladder it will stack it. You axe the bottom ladder, then place a third tower ladder 2 tiles back from the first ones and it will require no stool, but will require an extra tile. However this gives you some deco options for your ladders.

    for example:

originally wanted to use the middle section of stone tables where all the cloth is, unfortunately they arn't pass-through and you cant lower them far enough to walk over. I sat and cried with a pack full of stone table middle sections for quite some time :(
