Sorry Ez, I should have been more clear. I meant in the Humanoid section. I'd like to be able to get Repond as a drop from Ancient Liches but don't see them listed. The "Can be found on" on lists Bone Knight, Lich, Lich-Lord.
This lists as they are currently for which creatures have the potential to offer these slayers as drops are the default settings for the slayer system, they were not hand picked individually. I'll see what I can do about refining the listings for which creatures offer the potential for drops of their appropriate slayer types, though I wouldn't anticipate that to mean that slayers will be more common in general, just a larger array of areas that they could be found while farming.
I'll pick up on what Red_Rover says in that Ancient Liches drop silver instruments... which does not make much sense. I would expect them to drop repond stuff. Is that a bug that should be logged in the bug section?
I posted about that in the bug reports forum. Also, why are poison elementals dropping silver instruments? Shouldn't they be dropping Abyss?
I've posted this elsewhere before, but I think it merits being posted here: Currently any monster NOT on the "slayer dropping monster" list will drop silver by default. To be more specific: Ancient Liches Not on the list, will drop silver. Poison Elementals Not on the list, will drop silver. Furthermore, the guide clearly states what I posted above, but people don't seem to care to read:
The following changes to the Slayer system will see publish with patch 43. The list of creatures which can offer slayer items (weapons or instruments) as potential loot has been expanded greatly. Does anyone know if pirates fall in the Repond group? Seems like yes, based off of Evil Mages being there, but thought I'd double check.
I would like to know the percentage rate on the chance to get a slayer weapon. It really seems that slayers are extremely rare, especially in some specific categories. Has anyone even seen a fey slayer yet? I've killed an absurd amount of mobs in the abyss group and have not seen any, not even a shitty one.
This is something I've been meaning to discuss. Supposedly, the other modifiers on a weapon (durability, accuracy, and damage) are random, irrespective of slayer status. That is, if you find a viking sword that is not a slayer, and it has a 1% chance of being a vanq, you will also find that 1% of viking sword slayers are also vanqs. If that is the case, I would suggest raising the slayer drop percentage. I have killed more elder gazers than I care to admit - OK fine, I'll admit to 10,000 of them. And in that time, I found ZERO silver weapons of vanquishing, and only one silver weapon of power. Maybe 3 silver force weapons, and6 silver might weapons. Of course, I may have simply been lucky... maybe the math would show I should have got 2 or 3 vanqs, and a few more powers. Or maybe less, who knows. But I think it's worth examining. I don't think it's unrealistic to suggest one should get a vanq slayer on average for every, say, 5,000 high-end monsters killed.
10k gazers and not 1 silver vanq ?!?!?!?!?!?! Well, that's that, I'll never leave my house with my silver vanq ever again. Seriously, I agree here, slayer drop rates need to be looked into.
Also, as it stands with how rare slayers are, dexxers aren't really much of a choice when it comes to big game hunting, or spawns. I mean you really need to know what you are doing to go out and dexxer down anything above a lich, without a slayer weapon. It really makes your only choice a tamer. Even mage/bards can only do so much.
Agreed, the drop rate is too low. I'm all for them being rare, but it feels like the only ones out there are from the 'before times'. BTW: Thanks Chris for responding about the pirates. Somehow I missed your response until just now!
I'm fairly certain Daemon Dismissal is not working on Succubus. I get a considerable amount of fails with Daemon Dismissal and hardly any fails at all using Exorcism. I have all four bard skills GM'd, as well.
It appears that the Succubus was missed & not included in the daemon dismissal category with the latest patch which expanded the amount of creatures they affect & can be found on. So, for the mean-time until that is rectified Succubus is only affected by Exorcism slayer.
It should be noted that the Harrower is immune to slayers. (Both versions of the Harrower and both Demon/Excorcism weapons)
Brigands of all types seem to not be affected by repond slayers, wondering if this the way it is or did they get left out?
