Re: Renaissance Halloween Night of Horrors Event 10/24 to 11 One suggestion - maybe find a way to give players points not only for kills but also for total damage done... I'm enjoying this event quite a bit but the way it works now, players are rewarded for being douches who steal kills with Exp/EB at the last second. From here on out, I'm not wasting regs casting Blade Spirits and Fire Fields and doing 99% of the work for the kill thieves; I'm joining them. But I wish that it didn't have to be this way.
Re: Renaissance Halloween Night of Horrors Event 10/24 to 11 Well first off the regs are provided as part of the event, and kill/loot stealing has always been a part of UO. Given that teamwork is required to effectively take out the bosses, this negates some of the problems with kill stealing (since they give you way more points). Also given some technical issues it can be difficult to bind a damage tracker to each monster (on a large scale) giving us the final damage that each player achieved. Given the massive variety of ways that a player can damage a monster, you can imagine this gets complicated quick. A system like this was used on Champion spawns, however is not feasible for each individual monster. However we are taking the player comments into accounts for future event design, however this event was crafted so that scoring was just 1 small aspect. For the next challenge event, we are planning a worldwide event, which will negate this issue. Anyway rest assured the staff monitors the events, and makes note of player tendencies to use to perfect future events. This is also why these events will run for 2 weeks, everyone gets a second chance to do better.

I just always run out quickly and obviously casting less BS and FF will equal more EXP/EB. I understand what you're saying about the damage trackers, thanks for explaining in layman's terms.

Re: Renaissance Halloween Night of Horrors Event 10/24 to 11 On Thursday, Saturday and Tuesday we run an early (American time) event to accommodate our international players. However I am open to suggestion on times.
Re: Renaissance Halloween Night of Horrors Event 10/24 to 11 Would it be possible to add event clocks into some of the bigger towns, which simply say that X event is scheduled to start in Y hours. I know that the times/dates are up on the town crier section, however these are put up early and subject to change, not to mention that they display only in one timezone, it would be much easier/accurate to know exactly when the next event is starting.
