What: A scavenger hunt! Where: Everywhere! When: Tuesday, August 11, 10PM EST! Why: The third anniversary events will be starting up soon. Assuming the annual scavenger hunts make a return, this scavenger hunt will be good practice for the real thing. Zyler's scavenger hunts helped me remember how fun these are. Also, prizes! Nearly 2M worth! How (Rules): I will hide somewhere in the world and will release clues as to my location in IRC. The first three players that find me and say 'Basoosh' will earn points. (I must be able to 'hear' you say Basoosh. If I'm inside a building, I won't hear you if you're outside.) The first player to find me earns 3 points. The second player earns 2 points. The third player earns 1 point. My log file will break ties. There will be 10 rounds in total. Each round will probably only take a couple minutes. Once found, I will try to start the next round ASAP. The whole thing will take about an hour. After all 10 rounds, players can pick a prize from the prize room in descending total point order. (first place picks first, second place picks next, etc.) If you are not present at prize selection time, I will pick what I think is the next best prize and set it aside for you. Oh man, I had no idea on any of these. I'm not even going to bother with the official one. Haha. Edit: Trying it again, I think I would have figured out the Buc's Den one after the third clue. So I've got that going for me, after all.
