Oh man growing plants! I used to LOVE gardening. I just started playing on this server less than 2 weeks ago. I played on second age for a number of years but it is pretty unpopulated and boring because they are so strict to be accurate with the T2A era and don't have any of the cool new additions made to UO over the years. That's why I'm pretty excited about playing on UO Renaissance. UO Renaissance does not go overboard with all of the neon crazy items, ugly customized houses, or all of the crazy expansion lands, but they still allow some of the cool things about classic UO: BOD's, ethereal mounts, BOD rewards, special fishing nets, pet stats, pet bonding, etc. It would so awesome to add plant-growing to UO Renaissance! Take away the orange petals (so won't affect PVP) and the ugly colored plants (so won't make Britannia ugly). Only allow the non-colored, classical versions of the plants for house decorating.

Would absolutely love adding gardening to UOR.

I loved tending to plants with all the different potions/water/etc.

    +1!

I would also love to see gardening added! Minus the ugly coloured plants as Steb said. :)

+1 to gardening. The code is all there too, just need to flip it on?
It was such a simple, yet chill thing, and it was added in a patch in UOR, so it is era accurate!

I would be very interested in seeing this here as well. Gardening was a fun hobby in OSI, and I believe it could be kept that way in Renaissance. The way other systems have been re-implimented and perfected makes me very optimistic that it could be done right here!

One question. We are asking for gardening back.

Does any of the vet vets know why gardening wasn't included in the first place, as this is a UO:R sever, and gardening was from UO:R?

It must have been excluded for some reason, right?

Default gardening gives some crazy colored plants (i.e. pure black/pure white) along with resources that are gamebreaking (Orange petals block poison).

True but Chris can implement "Gardening Perfected" here in UOR. That would be just the normal colored plants with no game breaking petals. It would be an immersive hobby producing purely decorative plants and no game changing consequences. Everybody is happy :)

its a great idea, i think keeping it normal with no neon colored bs and keeping it straight for decor would work fine. this adds a play style for annyone out there wanting to take a break from all the grinding. +1 for 2018

This thread was created 4 fucking years ago. It ain’t happening. The only way this would be added is if the plants dropped petals that made people immune from any form of harm.
