I knew there was a reason I liked you, Shad. Aside from your general awesomeness, of course. While the rest of my pragmatically minded friends were taking Spanish in high school and college I took French. 2 years in high school, 2 in college. Big fan of French history.... especially the dark ages stuff. Makes George RR Martin look like Capt. Kangaroo. They all laughed at me. You see, I live in North Carolina where we have a HUUUUGE migrant farm worker population that is predominantly from Mexico and other areas south of the US where they speak..... wait for it..... SPANISH! So there are a TON of people here with Spanish as their primary language who speak next to no Anglais (that English for you people who took Spanish). However, there are next to no people here with a similar problem who speak French as their primary language. It wasn't as funny when I ran into the very nice French family at the beach the summer of my freshman year in college and was able to talk to not only la mere et le papa, mais aussi les filles. Twins. Hot twins. Who spoke French (not Spanish). Winner winner Cordon Bleu dinner.
I wanted to say that the ping performance definitely did improve. Since one to two weeks the lag spikes disappeared and it's a constant 250ms (average ingame ping value, running around is smooth and no lag jitter on a horse). This is very well playable for PvM and even thieving, as the recently increased crime rates should show.
