A soft blue portal interrupted the silence that permeated the quiet forest village and two figures faltered through. The hardened leather shoulder plate of one men smoldered from a curse it had only partially deflected.

"It's no use Jupe," Mobolin panted, "with their champion so close, the restless spirits of Deceit are invigorated and too much for our small company of two."

Jupiter nodded but seemed undeterred and answered "you are right. We'll need a greater force and I know just the city to call upon. With the might of Stormhold we shall prevail!"

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The shadow of a stooped corpse covered the table. Almost all of the rotted flesh that covered the lich's body was ages old, but their were a few fresh patches that seemed to have been grotesquely sewn to its face and arms; no doubt the flesh of a fool hardy hero or witless treasure hunter who had delved too far into these cursed caverns. A small orb seemed to hold the lich's entire focus.

"Desss Ssanctum!" As the lich spat his curse bits of flesh were sent flying and he turned to yell at the minions, "Do not let that wizard pass you blasphemous cretins! Release the vortex of venom if you must but do not let him enter! Our champion is almost summoned!" The chattering of bones came in reply and two colossal skelingtons bolted down the corridor with uncanny speed.

The sound of a man's bones being snapped between the crushing force of a dragon's maw can easily be mistaken for oak trees being snapped in two. But the sound of petrified bones that have been hardened by untold ages of corruption and hate as they were decimated by the Greycliff's was beyond description. Phaedrus of Stormhold charged almost recklessly into a crowd of no less thirty corpses which all immediately turned to swarm him. The strain on Jupiter's face was clear as he struggled to aim his restorative aura at Phaedrus. A flash erupted from Jupiter's staff and the undead froze.

"Now," Jupiter cried our, "let the full force of your weapon swirl around you!"

Phaedrus did not hesitate. Holding is weapon fully extended, he crouched down in a spiral almost as if his body were a spring. When he had almost reached the floor of the cave he suddenly spun in the opposite direction and each corpse that was struck vaporized to dust upon impact.

In the brief silence that followed Jupiter called out for a report "are there any fallen?"

"We are all accounted for Wizard, warriors and dragon-kin. Tis only the undead that now rest in this forsaken hallway" The voice was that of Godric.
Jupiter nodded and panted "we won't have much time before they piece together more bones to try and stop us. If my memory serves me, the swamp of lies is just down this corridor. I must collect a rock from that swamp to ensure we can prevent the undead from amassing an army this large again."

“What are we waiting for then?” Phaedrus let out a cry of valor and vanished behind the corner of the hall. Jupiter looked to Godric whose only response was a tilt of his head and shrug of his shoulders suggesting this was not uncommon of the brazen warrior. Robin Redding slumped his head forward to compel his body to follow his comrade.
