Plat reward item with say 5 charges (similar use to a bola in other servers), but when used, initiates ‘heat of combat’ on the target preventing recall/gating. Or......just heat of combat globally, heh heh heh.
Running discounts here & there might be something worthwhile in the meantime. I have all sorts of things i'd entertain if they go to "sale" on the plat store.
I don't see this one happening because the argument will be that people will mass murder in town, pay the 250 plat (which is expensive, but you know they will! lol), rinse and repeat.
Telamon pretty solid about catching people town killing because I believe it is illegal under UOR rules ( to some extent ). But I hear ya
It has been said that town killing, while technically deemed 'legal' with the new guard changes (haha), will mysteriously get you sent on a trip to Belize
With the discussion on runebook charges.. - Plat deed similar to housing lockdown / secure increase to increase the max charges in a runebook (+5 / +10).
Plat reward idea : permanent campfires..... it would be cool to lock down a piece of burning kindling in your house. Why? Because.... who wouldn't want to have a permanent crotchfire burning on their roofs, roasting the nether-regions of their arch enemy for all to see? @Hadrian
No I mean the max charges of recall scrolls you can fill the book with. The number of runes being added to the book wouldn't change.
Don't know if this has been brought up, but was wondering if it would be possible for the implementation of cub barrels to take place before the rest of Cubs and Moats. Obviously rewards will be ready when they are, but if the ability to dump accumulated junk into cub barrels is a possibility to patch in sooner, I think it would help the server as soon as it goes through. Less junk in the world, hopefully better save times. I also believe that patching in the barrels before rewards are available would be easier on players and staff to feel out the bugs. That way copper coins are being obtained and it might make it easier to see that items are giving the proper amount. I am not a coder, and still stumble through something as simple as razor macros so I don't understand the magnitude of how much effort goes into something like this, though it is appreciated for the mere fact it hasn't been abandoned even if it's taken longer than expected to complete. I believe that even a single step further towards cub would create more momentum on the dev side along with the player side. Watching the coins build up in our Copper Wallet from donations has already started rollin in the hype and excitement. @Chris
Well when the system was envisioned it was to clean up the save times. Ironically through other projects and cleanup tasks we have cut the save times by 50%. Compared to almost all other free shards the Renaissance save times are 50-100% quicker. 8 million items, 100k characters, and 100k mobiles, 50k accounts and we have 8 second save times. This reduced the speed in which the CuB system needed to be completed by reducing the reason for it. But our overall goal is endgame for items. And one feature for the barrel will be the ability to turn in pretty much anything either for CUB points or to have it unraveled. Things such as ballot box deeds could return a fraction of the resources uses, stored in the barrel until a withdrawal threshold is met. There is an ongoing discussion here if you want to check it out. http://uorforum.com/threads/clean-up-britannia-official-reward-store-discussion.37751/
