~ Post Under Construction ~ The duel system is a unique system in which players are able to participate in consensual pvp & ensure all parties involved are held to the same set of rules in order to maintain a level playing field. The rules for any given fight are determined by the player who initiates the duel & a large array of options & restrictions are available. All participants for any duels must agree to the rules chosen before the match can begin. In order to begin setting up a duel, you must be near a dueling station & speak the words "i wish to duel". Once the main setup page is opened, you may begin customizing the specifics of the duel to your liking. There are numerous options to choose from as well as the amount of participants & teams included in the fight. Once the rules for the fight have been decided, you will need to add additional participants/opponents to the match in order to have somebody to fight against (or with you should the fight consist of 3 or more players). In order to do this, you will need to select your opponents/teammates by selecting the "Player 2" field & then added the desired player to that team. In order to add additional teams over the default limit of 2, you will need to use the "Add Participant" feature to add extra teams. Once all participants have been added & everyone is ready to begin the match, press "Start". Once the match has been scheduled to start, all parties involved will have to agree to the rules chosen in order for the fight to begin. When all parties have confirmed their agreement to the rules, a countdown timer of 3 seconds will appear & the match will begin shortly. If you wish to cancel your participation in the duel or end an active match (only available in a match with 3+ participants) you may do so at anytime by speaking the phrase "i yield". Doing so will immediately remove you from any duel setup you're involved in & during an active match doing so will end the match & result in a loss for the player yielding with the winner being credited a win. There are leaderboards setup for all duel types (5x 7x mage & 7x standard) which will log all of the matches taken place on the server & rank the players accordingly based on their win/loss statistics. The leaderboards can be viewed at any duel station by double-clicking on the bulletin boards found at each location.
