This sounds like a blast!! Can this quest be completed multiple times to allow for bonding 2 additional pets? I only ask because of rumors I've heard. Also, it sounds like we are able to bring other players and probably pets with us to the "strange lost land" after we turn in all 23 pets. If this is true, do these players need to complete the desired pet list before tagging along?
Yes you can, however it is not as strong as normal dragons Added a Q & A section to cover this. http://uorforum.com/threads/the-zookeepers-quest-patch-52-pet-bonding-expansion.4831/#post-36459 You can complete the quest as many time as you want. You can bring as many players along to complete the quest, however the scroll owner will choose 9 players who can learn how to bond an additional pet per event.
This quest sounds cool and all, but the fact that people will be able to have unlimited bonded pets reeks of trammel. Honestly can't say I'm a fan of this.
actually in his Q&A it states you can do as many times as you like for as many bonded pets as you want
Players can attempt to complete this quest as many times as they want, and earn an addition bonded pet slot for each successful defeat of the event. Keep in mind however that this was designed to be very challenging and take a substantial amount of work. As a common design directive on Renaissance we only limit our players by the effort they invest. And sure you can have more than 2,3,4 bonded pets but it will require a substantial amount of effort to complete the quest and then defeat the event. Rather than limit players to being able to do the event once, we wanted to allow them the option of multiple attempts with diverse groups of players to explore a challenge unique to Renaissance. If this event is run more than 2-3 times a month I will be personally surprised. We placed a litany of protections on the event itself so that you have to choose the 10 people who can earn an additional bonded pet slot, vs rewarding everyone for stacking characters in the event. Also keep in mind we already have extensive protections limiting the abuse of the pet bonding system such as peculiar meat, custom pet summoning balls, and pet skill loss on resurrection.
