Hans and Sarreffe walked into the alchemist's room of Knights Tower interrupting my study of a scroll of ancient and dark places. I looked up expectantly, hoping to hear some good report of my friend, Vlar. I had not seen or heard from him in many days. Both were grim-faced and showed great concern on their faces. Hans spoke first. "Nothing, M'Lady. I have found no trace of him." "Aye, Lass, I also have not been able to find any sign of him," concurred Sarreffe. "He seems to have simply vanished." I felt a heavy weight begin to settle uncomfortably within and around me. Dreadful thoughts began to fill my mind. I am sure these thoughts shown on my face. "We will continue to search, Oni," Hans stated reassuringly, trying to ease my pain. Sarreffe only nodded in agreement. "Thank you both. I know it is hard to search when you don't even know where to begin." They just grinned. "Still, we continue the search," concluded Sarreffe. Both took their leave, and I was left alone again - with my thoughts. But I did not want to be left alone. I had come to this Realm to be a part... a part of... a circle of friends. Vlar was a part of this circle. I did not want to let him go - nor would I until I had some explanation or reason. The memories began to flood in... That bear mask, white tunic.. the pipe A tear came to my eye, then another. The tears began to flow, unceasingly. I did not try to stop them. "Where are you, my Friend?" My search begins.. to find my Friend.
