Treasure Chest - sysmessage proposal

Maybe something based on weight like the ground decay system on UOSA? The heavier the chest, the longer it takes. Empty decays in 10 minutes and add a minute for every 2-3 stones left in?

Sharing knowledge with others is what's needed.
A plat chance would be a nice incentive for chopping.

Plat chance is too much for this, IMO,.

Let's just add plat chance to CuB then. And to people who help new players all day on IRC. And to event organizers.
People that collectively help both the server and others.

I'm sorry but if you go do a tmap and there's an unfinished chest there it's your problem only and only.

SysMessage is a good idea and it's enough in my opinion.

I do that to but for example last time i was doing level ones, I had to empty someone else's lvl 5 chest that was basically FULL in order to chop it (must be empty to chop a chest that is NOT yours, you can chop your one chest while full). Not only did I turn grey, i had to battle monsters alone that I specifically was avoiding at the time...it was a pain in the ass and took me over 40 minutes and 2 deaths to finish it before I could even start mine, all the while STILL grey!!

If Chest still locked
decayTime = currentTime;

Else If Chest unlocked and untouched
decayTime = currenTime;

Else If Chest unlocked and touched
decayTime = 14min;

EndIf;

Wouldn't that solve the problem?
14 min should be plenty time to loot your own chest I guess.

Depends i guess, a level 6 can take an hr if you milk it for monsters...
