    - Make sure to go through the Razor guide to fix all Razor problems first:
    http://uorforum.com/threads/using-razor-on-mac-guide.20166/

    Installing UOAM 8.3:

    1) Download the older version of UOAM from:
google “UO automap 8.3”.. I found it on another server’s forum… so I dont want to post the link here. U need to download the "full" version.

    2) Right click on UO Renaissance.app > Show Package Contents > drive_c > Program Files > delete UOAM folder.

    3) Right click on UO Renaissance.app > Show Package Contents > Launch Wineskin.app inside

    4) Install Software > Choose Setup Executable > locate the downloaded UOAM_Install.exe and Choose

    5) Go through installation > Everything is answered as default/yes

    Setting up UOAM start settings

    6) UOAM needs to be launched once by itself before setting up.

    7) In the same Wineskin.app from Step #4 (just reopen if you close it). Click Advanced > Tools > Command Line Shell

    8) You see the Windows Command Line Shell.., type “cd..” without quotes, until you are in C:

    9) type “cd program files” then press enter button
“cd uoam”, then press enter button
    “uoam.exe” then press enter button

    10) UOAM launches, click Start UO-AutoMap

    11) Performance Settings for Fellucca Map opens, Max all 3 bars to right to “fastest”, wait

    12) Performance Setting for Trammel Map opens. I don’t know what that is, but it is unused by UO, keep at “Slower”. just click OK

    13) Quit UOAM by going to File > Exit (don’t just do the command+Q to quit, needs to save by exiting like windows). Quit Command Line Shell.

Setting up UOAM to start with Razor & UO

    14) open a blank text TextEdit, type copy and paste this in:

    start "c:\Program Files\UOAM\uoam.exe"
    start "c:\Program Files\Razor\Razor.exe"

Save as a “start.txt”, Exit, re-name extension to bat file... “start.bat” (this is the batch file)

    15) Right click UO Renaissance.app > Show Package Contents > put the batch file in “drive_c”

    16) Launch Wineskin.app again (inside UO Renaissance.app) > advanced > change “Windows EXE” locate the batch file, it should be "/start.bat"

    17) Quit, close everything, launch UO Renaissance. It opens UOAM with Razor & UO.

Useful changes to UOAM options (optional):

    18) in UOAM go to Map > Additional Settings > Files > uncheck "Treasure" (unless you are treasure hunting, these are annoying)

    19) in UOAM go to Link > Link Controls > change the IP address to the UOAM address shown in UOR main website front and "Link to Server" (not needed, haven't tested.)

    20) in UOAM go to Places > Show Shops by Category (just having it "mage shop" is less cluttered than "Anjetan's Magery blah blah shop"

    21) in UOAM go to Zoom > 1x (this seem to be best for me)

    23) Double clicking the UOAM makes it windowless (see image below)

    23) you can scale the window to the size you like (see image below). Change all the settings. But you must use "File > Exit", if you want all settings, window size & positions saved. After that, you can just Command + Q or any way to close is ok.

I had the Mac client re-built to have a menu to launch UOAM.. , and some other UO doodads that are nice.. but I give up. It was too buggy. The previous version by nkr is way better. So I am just writing a guide to do reuse it.

If everything has worked out. You can run it like this.

    Just an update,

UOAM is working out perfectly on Mac.

However, only in Ocllo, the vendor store seem to be a bit different. Jeweler Store and Carpentry Store is not shown. Other towns are fine. UOAM also shows hidden passages & entrances in mountains too!

Hello - I wonder if anyone can help me.

I'm following this guide to a T and can get to the part where I have to rename the text file to start.txt but it wont allow me to actually rename it to a .txt and insists on renaming it rtf.txt.

I'm able to then change the filename to start.bat but the icon still displays as an rtf file.

I'm then not able to select it in stage 16 as its greyed out.

Any ideas how to work around this?

    Thank you!

I have followed this, as well. Up to step 17. I did a test run in Wine. Below is the result. Can anyone help there?

Edit: In Wine, I am able to change windows EXE to either app and get them to open individually. I am unable, however, to get both to open with this batch text document. It is changed from a .rtf to .bat via the get info thingy.
