This is precisely it. When all the spots are taken this may well be worth 3 mil. Last I checked the spots were not all taken. However I fully agree it is a nice spot and worth whatever someone will pay for it. I placed and tried to see a tower at the north brit mines. It was in my opinion an equally "one of a kind" spot, even though really all houses are in "one of a kind" spots if you think about it. Anyway, this tower in my mind was an amazing nostalgic dream location but I couldn't even get 70k over deed for it. Point is, the housing market atm does not support the claim that this house is worth 3 million and I would be extremely surprised if anyone buys it at the price point. If it does sell for 3 mil I will eat all my words! Genocide is about to learn the same lesson with his tower on ice. s/b is only 500k but who is going to pay 70k over deed when they can place a tower on grass for deed only?
This was my thought too. And this happens on freeshards as well. Owning this house, and even moreso a Brit graveyard house, is basically a huge sign around your neck that you can't hack it. You would have to pay ME to live in one of those houses; I'd be ashamed. TBH, the house pricing opinion of the guy with a half-dozen houses empty and unsold over the last YEAR should probably not be too highly regarded.
Half dozen? Only four are for sale in the same location so no biggy. Merely stating a fact to someone that really wants it it can go for that. Just like a change in pixel colour can go for a ridiculous sum.
I said "empty and unsold". I don't care if you put some arbitrary For Sale sign on them or not. They are still empty, they are still yours, and it's been this way at least as long as I've been on the shard and who knows how much longer before that. I'm merely stating that "it can go for that" as justification for hoarding something indefinitely and preventing other people from enjoying it on a shard that you don't play on is childish. It's not against the rules, it doesn't make you a cheater or anything, it's just sad.
i still think it could go for 3m, just to the right buyer, which I'm not. It really is a great spot, and napo has said he wanted it many times. Eventually someone that really needs houses to run to during fights will buy it, or someone like Jack that wants to decorate it.
Justice is not empty. But that's just your opinion. I don't have any other houses than wind and Jhelom so the plethora of houses is quite amusing.
Ya I mean, what it all boils down to is what someone is willing to pay for it. What it is "worth" starts to become irrelevant. Things are priced higher than typical market will usually sit, but if someone wants it bad enough, they will pay for it. Business 101...
If it was a tower, I'd call it a 1.6-2mill spot atm just for th location, and there's not many houses of that size worthy of that price atm, nice location though for blue or red =P
