OK, i took your opinions into consideration. Now I wonder if anybody knows the answer of my questions? 1) Does STR affect archery damage or DEX; 2) Does 100 skill in Anatomy give +20% DAMAGE as stated here http://www.uorenaissance.com/stratics/combat) or it gives +30% (+10% for being GM). Thanks to anyone that helps.
Increasing strength will increase damage per shot (this is 20% of CA). Increasing dexterity will decrease the delay between shots and therefore increase DPS. 100 Skill in anatomy gives 30% CA. To reach the damage cap per shot for archery you need 100 tactics, 100 anatomy and 93 or 95 strength depending on how the rounding works.
Sorry, to bump this thread after a month, but I have only just found it. In simple break down. (of course will be off by a bit due to round up or down ) Just wanted to understand fully, so please correct this if it is wrong. Every 5 points of str gives you 1%, up to max str of 110. Every 2 points of tactics gives you 1%. Every 3 points of anatomy give you 1% up to cap of 100% damage after all other modifiers So, above is the percent, of damage done, from the total of, weapon type + magic proprieties (vanq, power etc). (does weapon skill add anything to this? or is that just chance to hit?)
As far as i know, tactics boosts the weapon you are usings base damage. Anatomy and strengrh bonuses are added to the damage of the hit. For example: 100 Strength 100 Anatomy 100 Tactics Weapon Damage: 3d6 and is of might (+3) You hit someone and roll a 6 a 1 and a 3 totaling 10 base damage. Tacics mods this damage to 15 Then ... (not sure if one at a time or total well assume a combined increase) ...STR and Anatomy bonuses are applied (+50%) modding that damage to 23. The whole thing is halved to 12 then you add the weapon mod brimging the grand total hit to 15 You hit an armor of 8. You deal 7 damage that hit. Hope that helps and i got it right!!!
