I was hidden there all day for like 10 hours. Not even bullshitting. You didn't say anything to me precisely because you guys showed up within the last couple of minutes of it falling. One person ran over me and it was game over from that point. You guys know that what you did was incredibly unbalanced. How are new players supposed to find IDOCs and have some fun of their own when you guys use timers and swoop in without putting in the time? I get that you guys are established and roam around in your IDOC team and that's fun for you, but it was an awful experience for me. As I said earlier, I don't mind if someone places the deed down faster than I, but that's extremely different than what happened today. If the server wants to keep things the way they are currently, where there is zero guesswork, then have at it. It's just not for me. I don't want to be handed anything. Please understand me. Someone already tried to drop a check on me and I right clicked the trade window. Ask around if you don't believe me. It's the principle of the thing. Automating IDOCs is not cool for me. I'm calmer now than I was in game. I'm not mad at you guys, seriously. I get that it's fun to dominate the server and sell cool locations. I wish you guys the best.
In terms of revenge, the easiest method IMO would be going to where they unload the loot and just being a pain in the ass. Dropping boxes down on recall spots, casting poison fields, EVs, bladespirits. It wouldn't take much effort to make them wish they hadn't messed with you.
I don't know if you are implying that I had alt accounts with me, I was solo on Captain Goblin. Just me by myself. No group of others with me at all. I didn't ever hurl any personal attacks. I only said 'flamboyantly gay bullshit' and "Are you guys serious?". Stuff like that. I get that you want to make me look bad, but I was just pissed off and blowing steam. I never directly attacked anybody with my words. But you caught it in a screenshot so now I look guilty as hell. Whatever, you guys know exactly what happened. You are also making it seem like you only res killed me once. I was killed by you guys over and over and over. I counted 6 times.
I don't think IDOCS are a new players game. And it isn't fair to say they didn't put in the time, clearly they put in enough time and energy to narrow down the fall to a small window. This debate has always had this weird thing where players insist it is just too easy and effortless to IDOC, yet they can't seem to do it themselves. Clearly it is hard, and requires a lot of effort, hence why so many people get crushed when they try to come in as a solo new player and compete. If it were easy and effortless, everyone would do it.
They could've logged a char out after seeing what the sign said. Wouldn't take more than a minute here and a minute there logging in at different moments. IDOCs aren't random. Compare that to 10 hours of split screening. There's a big difference there. Of course 3-5 people 7x gm are going to dominate my newb fisherman lol.
Yeah you ran into the idoc crew. They are going to be dicks and take all the loot and kill anyone on sight. This is the game they play. But to say they do not put in work is just a damn lie. These guys run zones all the time frequently check fairly and greatly worn homes to the point it becomes a job. Sorry you found the idoc game rough here but, unless you plan on playing this game like a job I would not go near any idocs. Also you will need a crew of dedicated people to fight the current idoc crew. I've tried and failed they are very good at what they do.
Hell I camped one all day, knew the timer, they didn't show up and I still didn't get to place it. So what, it sucks, but life goes on.
When I say "putting in the time", I'm referring to literally standing there while it's IDOC. I waited there for 10 hours today (That felt like a job). I have zero inclination to get a crew together, click on some signs, log people in and out to check for sign status to time the precise moment a house will fall. That's a system that pushes things as close to automated as it can legally get. I personally think that's exactly the wrong way to go about IDOCs, but I accept that people here seem to be okay with it.
Alot of people do not like the way idocs are. But as it stands this is the way it is. These guys have most idocs down to a 3-10minute window. If you came here to idoc then honestly you will need a group. It sucks that you put so much time into only to fail but, all this group does are idocs. I ran into a similar situation as you when I first started this server I was killed dry looted and horse killed. These guys are very ruthless when it comes to a idoc but, like I said it's all they want to do it is how they enjoy the game
