I was reading the archery guide and someone mentioned a Ratman Valley. If it is by shame I wasn't able to open the gate.\

This is SE of Yew. :) It's that whole dip in the mountains towards the orc cave.

Careful if you venture in there with low skills. The archers and mages can tear you up if you draw too many of them on you.

there are spaces for small houses down there, might be nice to have a safe haven while you train archery. If you want me to co-own you to a small in the valley let me know. -Elhorno

Take him up on this offer. I've consistently seen a red name or two down in that valley in the last few times I've been down there. No clue why.

I think some reds live around there. No biggie though, most Reds will res you and won't grief. Irc people are always willing to help too if you run into trouble

Yeah, most of the reds here aren't griefers but it's always good to have a house in the area if you need somewhere to run or drop off loot.

Thanks for the offer el horn. My house is just on the other side of the valley. I went over there and played around a bit. It's a nice place to gain skills but I don't think my chr was strong enough yet. Archers were tearing me up but for whatever reason my archer with a bow of power can only muster 15 damage….and that is rare! Mostly it is 4-7 damage. Someting seems off with archery but he isn't GM yet either. I know I could macro him in some way but I just prefer to play and build skills. I do macro some bard skills though. As for the PK's… I think it's fun and I haven't been briefed yet and been pk'd 5-6 times. Last time I fought back and barely lost.

Do you have anatomy and tactics?

    You've been pk'd 5-6 times?

What are the name of the PKs?

And are you still eligible for the young player program?

I don't remember his name but he has gotten me about 4 times. I remember he was running with lesclaypool or something and he was SL or shadowlords. The other time was just random I think. Im not eligible for the young player program.. Its fine really. I like the risk of being PK'd. That was my biggest complaint with the new UO and the second primary complaint was how EA turned it in to a materialistic driven thing. Not my cup of tea. I do like the the idea of Malas, Ishenar and the skills too. I think they were a little overpowered to an extent or maybe that was because of the ludacris weapon like the soul seeker. That was a cheating sword….The game then reminded me of Diablo….I think I just threw up in my mouth… ANyway Im loving this server. Everyone has been super nice to me!! I guess if I would change one thing I could try and become more social and join a guild. Never really been in one.

Ya, for your play-style I would join village of paws. Also I was like you and never really got big into the guild thing until UOR. It has changed the game BIG time for me, in a good way. I cannot believe what I was missing playing solo for so long.
