Everything you need to know about electronic music genres: http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/ Educate yourself... that is the point of these threads.
That Todd Terje track is going to be hard (but not impossible) to beat... I literally had to stand up and dance a little.
Yea. That Todd Terje song is great. I also had to get up from my seat. I didn't know he toured with a live band! Impressive.
In the name of promoting digging... I'm lifting the limit on submissions in these threads. POST AWAY.
I also plan on one day creating a solo body-of-work (me writing a bunch of songs in my bedroom, by myself) and then playing them out live with a full band. ... because i'm a control freak.
Haha. That's great! My friend went to expressions (music college) and would sit at his house with like all this music making gear. I'm talking a really nice elecronic piano, all sorts of boards that you can program. I honestly don't remember the names, just that they were pretty damn expensive.
I'm currently (ALWAYS) surrounded by ~10k+ in synthesizers, drum machines, electronic drum kits, speakers, microphones, etc. If it makes or records noise, I HAVE TO HAVE IT.... and the name of one of my upcoming musical projects will be "Everything is a percussion instrument if you hit it hard enough" so you can imagine that I have a serious problem.
I'd normally write this off just for being Avicii... but I'll give it a listen. I wonder who really produced it though.
Yea my friend would get ALL excited because he would get some new board. And I would be like don't you already have like 5 other synthesizers? I guess the equipment they had at his school dwarfed all his stuff at home though.
