Man, I'm a bit hesitant about private offers.. especially on big real estate like this. Too much room for shenanigans. There's no reason why someone can't post a public bid on this.
Coming from the guy who tags Pegbyter and Alex Caember in every post??? lol I don't care who buys it... I've even stopped bidding on it last go around when said person told me their plans for it. I just think private bids give too much room for shenanigans on these high value auctions.
At the end of the day if buddy is trying to pump his own sales up and fails, that's his own fault. If someone actually bids 3 million and he doesn't want to be known, is it really any of your business? Actually? If you're an asshole and you want a house to run vendors on using an alt, why not buy it privately?
Hey why not make a new thread in the appropriate sub forum for this circular, self serving conversation rather than derailing Scuba's auction. Didn't you already get banned for this?
Shill bidding is against the rules anyway. If someone wants to bid 3 mil that's fine, but it's highly suspect when you're outbid by a private bidder. It shouldn't matter if an asshole wants to vendor or not, I'd imagine most people could separate business from personal drama. In a game where we kill and steal from each other, why does it matter who's vendors you shop from as long as the price is right? With that being said, 3.1
Its nothing personal, but any "Private Bid" auction has compromised its impression of being legitimate. It will always be that way when people can hide behind the internet. I drop out of any auction where a "Private Bidder" is in it anymore as this is simply the internet and you can't really trust anyone, even the private bidder when they actually exist. I'm not saying anyone has been doing anything wrong here, though. Its just the optics and after several years of dealing with this, i've found that its just best to walk away from "Private Bidder" auctions in general unless I absolutely have to have something. Myself, I don't even like allowing Private Bids in my own high-priced auctions anymore as i've found on average that it actually drops sales values because of the aforementioned reasons. People just stop bidding because they don't trust the "Private Bidder". So, for that reason alone, I don't allow them in my own auctions anymore. They lose you money and that's just not smart business. Sorry to further muck up the thread, but just felt these things needed to be said to all sides in a "Private BIdder" auction. Its just lose / lose for everyone from my experience. Best of luck with the auction, folks.
Aren't you doing the same thing? And why not pick on Paddy for starting it? I'm backing up scuba and his private bidding. What are you doing?
@scuba Private bidders on a auction is never a good idea. Its like when you fight against a 0 feedback bidder on ebay. Congratulation with your sale
Paddy actually has bids in and a stake in this, while you are here to stir shit up as usual. Agree to the sellers terms or don't, but can't we have this conversation elsewhere?
Reported to the moderator as well. Also there are several people not involved and yet you pick me out.
