I have intense server lag here on UOR.

I play at several different locations (2 different computers at home and 1 at work) and its the same everywhere.

I play on different UO servers on these same computers and there are no issues elsewhere, only here on UOR.

I use the same razor install, and dont usually use the UOR client elsewhere but have started doing so to see if there was a difference and again...the only issues are here on UOR.

I get a large amount of "hitching" where actions are delayed and general "choppiness" as well as black triangle artifacts all over the game window as a regular and a norm here on UOR. This causes me to need to resync client LITERALLY every 10-20 seconds (or more!!!) to get rid of them.

I have NONE of the hitching or black triangles elsewhere almost ever. Ive never even seen the black triangle artifact until playing here on UOR.

As I said 3 different computers and I can give specs to each if needed.

I have already performed traceroutes and my ping is 14-17 with "spikes" to 30...if you want to call 30ms a spike rofl...

Again...same razor/client installs ONLY cause problems here on UOR and not on 3 different UO servers. Good ping.

    Any suggestions?

My connection used to be pretty good, but lately (past few months) I get the same thing.

TY for the response and "bump"

My connection appears to be awesome. I have no ping issues at all to UOR server or anywhere else for that matter.

IMO (im no expert) this is a server performance issue.

Im not sure if its faulty server hardware, faulty server network protocols, or just an underpowered server for the population that it carries, or something else.

Any/all suggestions or input to help with this issue appreciated. Its playable...but...definitely hurts my performance/efficiency and its a major nuisance.

Are you using the client from the UOR website?

This is definitely a new issue. I can not pinpoint when it started, but I am pretty sure it's not been like this 4 weeks back.

I lately experience the same problems. Sometimes, when I just run around on a char, I will start lagging and at some points even lose connection.

As I just saw Vlar's question: I am using the UOR client and playing from Germany with an average ping of 160ms. Have so from the start (April this year). The lag is new though.

Kahun, I notice hiccups when playing. I'd say they started around the same timeframe.

I am using the UOR client downloaded from the UOR download area on the main page.

Now that I think of it not only do I have the issues I mentioned above but FREQUENTLY my char stops moving while running or doing other things with no blockage stopping me and I need to start running again.

For no apparently reason whatsoever. It appears to be to be a mini-dc from the server and loss of information transfer/packet loss, but again Im just speculating.

Running around Moonglow a player noticed me from this forum thread.

He stopped me and said he could "see me lagging all over the place" so I must have been desyncing alot and "zipping" around and very choppy.

I immediately pinged the server and was 30-33 ms rock solid. Admittedly, this particular time I was on my laptop and on a wireless connection but the ping is hella good as you can see, and I dont perceive the problem to be any more or less laptop/wireless vs desktop/wired.

    FWIW....

Again any and all comments and suggestions appreciated.

Make sure 'reduce CPU usage' isn't checked in Razor.

it seems this is the second week in a row that tier2 and tier3 servers in Texas are getting hammered. Or perhaps they are upgrading equipment during the day!

Has anyone tried or had success with port forwarding the UO client and the login server which to my understanding is 162.252.55.26 correct?

I talked to one of the Level3 techs that plays here and he indicated it was related to the new IOS9 release stressing out some of the larger pipes. Hopefully it will resolve itself soon.

Nothing like 1 billion people updating the software on their phones to slow down the internet.

    I m like Kahun.
My traceroute is great and my ping is around 100 to 120. Way better since server move and a new version of dsl at home! I come from 220!!!
Somehow, from time to time, i got lag spike and freeze for like 2 or 3 sec.

Now i m wondering if it not my apple/samsung items who connect with wifi and slow me down?
All these appli that can connect to check for update ... Like my mail.
    No idea.

    See u!

Similar to Kermit here. Every minutes a several sec hiccup. Most issues are related to my wifi tough. Too many parties blocking the channels.

Nothing similar to what you described.
