In that thread, Ezekiel said peculiar meat had a chance to drop on any carved monster or something like that. That's not true now, is it? I've never heard of peculiar meat dropping on anything but the boss monsters.
I'll say. I just took my first one down. So, I have one piece of 'peculiar meat'. Any value? Shall I eat it?
I'm not up to speed on current market prices, but they used to be worth ~20K. But yes, you should eat it. Raw. That green color is just food coloring and is definitely not botulism.
about 25k is currently market value. any boss that can be carved will have a drop rate for pec meat. compendium says the rate is 1/4 for pec meat. I find it to be closer to 1/2.
You could always ask @PaddyOBrien where to find peculiar meat. His tavern serves some infamous stew which I suspect this odd meat is a prime ingredient...
Just about every carvable miniboss drops peculiar meat, and they can be found in most dungeons. The exceptions that come to mind are the elementals (Efreet Sulan, Blood Elemental) and the 'Human' boss (Grand Visor). Personally I found that the Ice (AoL), Shame (Beholders) and Destard (Monarch/Azure) to be the best locations to farm peculiar meat due to the fast spawns. There's also Terra keep with the infiltrators... While it might be the best location to spawn minibosses... I would avoid it if possible!
