Hey all, on UO hybrid we had a casino boat, it was a multi layer pirate ship that was decorated as a casino, equipped with poker and black jack. Is there a possibility that we could get one on this shard? It was a major hit on hybrid and I'm certain it would be here too. What else do we spend all of our hard earned gold on?
Definitely into the idea of playable cards / more mini games like that. This would have to have our own UOR twist though - not a replica of something from hybrid.

There is a poker NPC on test however Im uncertain if it is functioning atm... but worth a look. You need more than 1 person to play. The poker NPC was tested several years ago however a few of us kept breaking it, making the server crash. Chris worked on it for a few weeks. Im unsure how many hours but prolly more than I would guess. Anyways, the project was set aside so Chris could work on more critical/essential enhancements and fixes.
loved hybrid poker made 100s of mils there sadly the server is far to corrupt an no pvp balance at all.
Yea it was terrible in the end, the owners of it just didnt care and it fell by the wayside. But hte best thing about it was that Casino. I remember hanging out with people having some great nights just playing poker, drinking and talking. I really wish we can get something like that here.
Yeah, but you should stop by sometime when I run a gambling event, Rat Roulette is the greatest gambling game ever!
Riggedddd??? Dodgey irishman?!?!?! It's not rigged, the only way I'd be able to is if I had herding skill, which I do not.. and I stay out of the enclosure and shut the door. Even if I had someone hidden in the back room I still believe the rat would probably walk over them like we can push people out of the way, not to mention anyone casting reveal would reveal a hidden person. I usually run around the enclosure too while I'm getting set up so you'd see if I have anyone there. Not to mention staff would notice an obvious scam even if I did hide someone there. We've had some big winners too. But if that's not good enough for you, then don't come and keep hoping for something that will never, ever happen on this server
I don't like the idea. If you want to gamble, you can do so in game at paddys and at other casino/lottery type vendors etc. If you really have your heart set on poker, player run poker leagues are great.
