Tracking questions

Making my first Fisher and was wondering about tracking.
1- Will it be a useful skill at fishing?
2- If I took the skill does it need to be GM to make it worth wild or would 50 be enough.

I have had a fisher with tracking and my limited experience was that it wasn't mega useful. The money in fishing comes from directly spawning mobs using fishermen or nets, with the goal of amibs, nets, SOS, and maps. Nets also spawn a whole lot of serps with nothing on them, and tracking would mostly find you other people's left over junk serpents from nets. I'm not a fishing pro - so maybe folks more experienced with this would have other views. I dropped it on my fisher tho.

In my opinion, i am not a fisher, you will use the tracking of your char mostly in events and in the land. Every time i put my tracker on a boat i didnt fine anything, i think you just could be able to find some poped up seeps, what is very rare and some dolphins..

I’ve read contradicting opinions on whether tracking even works on a reliable fashion.

I understand that some changes have been made so it’s not guaranteed that you find every player within five screens And you can’t see people inside of dungeon like you used to be able to but is it viable to use as a scout?

If I’ve got an alt nearby hidden spamming tracking, will that help me avoid pks on my main?

Read that. Doesn’t actually say anything definitive.

Some people swear by it some say not to rely on it.

Since nobody can explain how it works I’m going to assume it works but it’s neefed so hard that is not reliable.

Hard to dump 100 points into something that isn’t reliable.

I have a tracking tamer for holiday events and zoo quest animals.
I swear by it for these times.

the 'Nerf' with tracking is aimed towards player tracking, I haven't had issues tracking monsters / animals.

I love my tracking tammer... i make lots of gold in the holidays with him... Now i am planing to build some kind of bard tracker or also a dexer tracker... i want put some meditation or discord on my tammer... let me wait the easter and i will decide. or i should decide before the easter?

Yeah it's a good skill for other characters for sure. Just not for fishers unless you're using it for rp or something.
