Post any Ultima Online related dreams you've had. Last night I had a dream I was at Brit bank and I stole 36 million gp from some rich guy (he just dropped it on the ground and I picked it up). He wanted it back so he chased me for like ten minutes trying to paralyze and energy bolt me but I kept avoiding him around town. I was so nervous the entire time but I finally made it back to the bank and banked the money and felt an amazing sense of relief. I logged out and was so bewildered with adrenaline that I wandered into my front yard. My new next door neighbor was watering her front lawn and she was this super beautiful girl. She told me "you seem kind of exhausted are you OK?". I said " yeah, I just had a really intense experience in an online game " She said "you play online games? Cool have you ever played ultima online?" I said "yeah! That's what I was just playing now! I just stole 36 million gp from this rich dude and he was chasing me all around town to get it back!" I invited her in and I logged in and showed her the 36 million in my bank which I was relieved to see was still there. She was clearly impressed and excited to be in the presence of such an elite gamer. We had a nice conversation afterwards, then we began to make out. Sadly, my mom yelled IRL about breakfast or something and I woke up right at the most coolest part of the dream. I also have had dreams occasionally about players getting into my house and stealing all my crap. and even though I close and lock the front door or ban one of them, another one comes in from another door until I eventually disconnect for no reason and they all presumably just loot my house while I try desperately to log back on. Am I the only one who has UO dreams? Am I special? maybe a digital prophet of some sorts?
I wouldn't call this a dream but, it is Ultima Online temporarily invading my real life so... meh. I was sitting on my front porch on a warm spring day a looooong time ago. All the sudden my eyes caught a glimpse of something right in front of me peeking out right at the top step not but a foot away from me... a HUGE SPIDER. I quickly leaned back and raised both arms... right hand for the mouse and left hand for my paralyze key which of course weren't there because I was OUTSIDE. I couldn't believe it, I actually reacted to reality as though I was playing UO. What the? So yeah, I tried to para a real life spider. Too bad it didn't work because I was totally ready to combo that *&)(*er down! Oh well, I had to settle for a shoe.
My wife had a nightmare that she was in UO when she was running a fever years ago. Haven't been able to get her to play since.
I was too tired to drive home after work. I screamed KAL ORT POR really loud but nothing ever happened, except a lot of people looking scared at me.
You believe that?? The greatest trick snap ever pulled was convincing the shard she doesn't play..! Constant vigilance!
My dream turned out to be a nightmare, I used to enjoy the rare's market, buying and selling, camping spots etc. One night I had a dream of certain items locked down in Moonglow and I tried to pick one up *Ultima Online had turned into a first person game*, I grabbed it, pulled it and noticed a long elastic rope attached to the bottom, the rope even had the same graphic as a glitched texture. Eventually, the rope snapped and the item *damn what was it now* flew into the air, cleared the bank and landed on the floor, which broke it.. Funny thing is, the pieces of that item would have sold for more than the item itself in reality. Still, it was enough to make me go on a break for three months.
My UO dreams are much the same as dreams where I'm driving a car. I can't work the controls right and it's super frustrating. Because of that sometimes I realize a button or switch isn't doing anything until I think about it and it makes me realize I'm dreaming!
I vaguely remember having a dream once where I was macroing or something pretty benign, then moved some gold around on the floor and it kept multiplying for some strange reason. The piles kept getting bigger and bigger, totally out of control. Before I could do anything, I found myself banished to jail, and subsequently banned by Telamon lol. The "Dream Telamon" thought i was duping or something even though I had no clue as to why it was happening and he totally didn't buy my alibi of not knowing what the hell was going on, and I remember thinking "Nooooo I don't wanna go back to "that other shard"!!" I've also had a dream of farming somewhere and seeing a gang of pk's descend upon me after finding some super valuable rare, and my recall button wouldn't work... noooooooooo!
I once had a dream that I would help found a pivotal guild on a shard called UO:R and be remembered forever and revered with awe that is reserved for planetary constellations and true love that endures despite the universe's attempts to destroy it. Is this the same kind of dream we're talking about? Edit: P.S. Please remember me.
Not too long ago I had a pretty stressful dream about numerous failed attempts to ban a bunch of people from my castle that had somehow gotten a rune to my CY. They kept recalling/gating in, killing my character before I could ban them then I'd frantically switch screens to an alt just in time to see him die too.... This dream went on for what felt like hours...
Used to have those occasionally when I played UO on Atlantic and Catskills way back. Too long ago to remember any specific ones though. I do remember though during the day I'd sometimes notice a nice potted plant in an office building and immediately think about how much it was worth.
Last night: I was in my house with some guildmates (random strangers + Lady Onions?) and this cop came in to search the place. She found a bag of pot and was going to bust me for it so I put on my charms and tried to flirt. It worked but I had to keep the charade up with her even outside of the guildhouse. My made-up guild ended up quitting on me once word got around in IRC that I was hanging out with a griefer on my RP character.
