From your last frame, I can now PINPOINT UOR GM HeadQuarters… can you? (the general you, not you you Snap)
I haven't noticed reds being auto-killed in town. But I do have a stealth red, and I have noticed that NPCs will call guards on him even while he is hidden, at which point he will die. Pretty stupid, and needs to be fixed.
The owner changed it to the current state its in intentionally, so what you see now is the "fix". I wish i could see reds in town too, i love seeing that action from the sidelines and sometimes it almost makes me want to try pvp. Seriously, even as a spectator, it got my blood pumpin and made me debate on throwing in a timed flamestrike. But if a meme hasn't convinced Chris to change it to that, i dont know what would. So don't get any hopes up.
Here is what the patch note from Sept. 12, 2017 says: So, according to the owner, it is NOT intentional. A stealth pk should not be killed. And even though NPCs are supposed to be more active in calling guards, reds are not supposed to die automatically, either. (In my experience, that doesn't happen, anyway.)
Can murderers enter towns, or guarded regions on Renaissance? No, murderers are strictly forbidden from entering towns & any guarded regions, and may be killed on sight if caught within such regions. The only city which will do business with murderers is Buccaneer's Den, which has been renovated to support the regular play-style of those who choose to play murderers. Extra dwellings such as mage shops, and a stables, have been constructed in the town, as well as other dwellings which do not exist by default. http://uorforum.com/threads/faq-frequently-asked-questions.1283/ I get criminal activity can be confusing with murdurers. But murderers and criminals are two separate categories in UO.
Well at the very least, the harrower gate when he spawns in fire should be moved inside the dungeon, instead of where it currently opens in guard zone. Or else reds are taking a gate to a potential insta-kill.
