I'm retiring from UOR. Longest place and best place I've ever played in any game. New things lead to leaving the old behind. Generally I would have just drifted off into the shadows and let nobody know, but my last bit of fun will be selling everything I have in 1 sale. Everything together in my fortress as a gold/plat/hcoin/ehtreal/runebook sink that will all be destroyed. The reason for the announcement is because I feel a few people teaming up together will have the best opportunity to gather the required funds to achieve the purchase (it will be a public auction). The actual sale post will not be until the beginning of June. The post is to issue a heads up to the rich folk out there, get a guild or a team together and combine then figure out how to divide my stuff later, its a lot. The sale will accept all currencys at a set value, with unlimited ethreals, blessed runebooks, and xmas scrolls. (statues and such no, to much time figuring out values) So in the mean time sell off what you can for any type of currency. --A few highlights of the sale -- Fortress in yew with 500+ extra lock downs fully decorated with winning sign 3 years, one of the few in game where no other house can be placed on the screen. I've had it since 2013 All my characters Outfits, sandals,books, and cloths. Just search any char with the last name Lutz All my rares, Bods, Uniques, slayers, crafting materials All my current currency with be deleted as well, hopefully it will create a small gold/plat/hcoin sink to give some added value and desire to things. Don't bother hitting me up for individual pieces, its going to be all in one and might be a steal depending on how many people can gather up the funds. It will likely start in the 75-100mil range
I'm sad you are leaving but I can't say I haven't wanted to do the same more than once. I don't know how to react since I don't know the circumstances of your departure. At first, I was sad then thought "perhaps it is time to move on" as I have thought now and then, so I understand. If you haven't, take more time to reconsider. However given your post and knowing you, I know you have. I wish you the best and hope you return for a visit now and then.

2017 Pirate Fortress made by Lutz is the best deco ever made on this shard. It wil be nearly impossible to beat that.
Sweet! Another unattainable fort filled with cool stuff that will only fall into the hands of the uber rich nerd(s) who will just turn around and make more money selling off the parts. Par for the course and exactly the opposite of what you say your intentions are. ETA - I may have been a bit harsh and none of that vitriol is aimed at you personally. I don’t even know you. I am just growing weary and frustrated that it appears that no matter how hard I work, I missed the boat because I wasn’t even aware this place existed in 2012. Good luck to you sir.

I'm always sad to see long-time vets ride into the the sunset, so I am sorry to see you go @Arnold Lutz . And the collection of goods you have acquired through the years is incredible - and of course, it is your prerogative to do with them whatever you please. I would just note that if your goal through retirement is the advancement of the server, I'm not sure that a rich-get-richer type of auction you have noted above (where the various rares and items will be parted out in separate auctions and whomever wins is just playing an arbitrage game) is the best way to achieve said advancement. If the goal is advancement of the server, why not set up some type of event with @Chris where you can have those items distributed to a very wide base of players - new and old - where the benefits is server wide. I think that could be an amazing way to go out on top. Either way - I wish you the best. And as I noted - your items, your decision!

Good Luck to you Mr Lutz. you are one of the few still around that has played as long as I have if not longer. Your stuff, your time investment here, do with it what you will. Some leave well, others not so well and some never leave but never play... Good to see you are taking the path that reflects well on you and your time here. I like the @CaptainMorgan approach to leaving that it seems you are emulating. I've never met Arnold but it seems a real shame if no-one manages to complete his Gold Dexxer challenge before he leaves.... Who's up to the task? Would love to see someone take out a Dark One & Azure Dragon even if not within the time limits.
Lutz. I don’t think this is going to be as fun or as satisfying as you’re imagining it to be. I appreciate that individually auctioning all your hard earned pixels would be a huge ball ache, but this really, in my opinion, isn’t going to benefit more than 1, or maybe 2 people. To be completely honest I don’t understand why someone would spend 100 million+ to maybe make maybe 100 million+ after going through the arduous process of auctioning everything of value. Your forts more than likely going to sit there because the people I know who’d have the balls to tear all your deco down - don’t have 100 mil. It’s your pixels my dude, do with it as you wish but I find this to be an unfitting season finale to a show I’ve enjoyed watching. EDITING TO ADD: I would happily individually auction everything you have - for no money whatsoever - and give you every single penny to do with whatever you wish. As that would allow, IMO, current players of ALL bank balance levels to enjoy the items you’ve enjoyed collecting over the years.
