For me it's not really about the 90k. The way he sold it and then failure to address the outcome, which seems to be a common theme in his auctions, is the problem.
A shame. I keep it in my signature because it's easy for people who haven't run many to get in over their head
Except the auction explicitly stated selling BONDING SLOTS. It did not say selling taming quest slots.
I must have missed the boat :/ Could someone catch me up on what exactly happened with this Donnie/Gambit guy and his taming quest?
Based on what I have read: Gambit sold bonding slots. A tamer quest was run, but they failed to complete it so no one got their slot. The participants were then only partially refunded until @Thelax kindly raised the funds to reimburse them wholly.
He shouldnt be punished for failing, he should be punished for not refunding the money completely when it explicitly says (BONDING SLOTS FOR SALE)
Everyone should be permitted to deny bids as they see fit. The important part of this is the seller needs to make it publicly known that the bid was rejected. If someone bids 100K on my item and I don't want to sell to them, I need to make it known that I'm rejecting that bid in the thread. Don't let the auction drift on to its end, leaving that person to believe they won. Staff shouldn't have to intervene unless actual scamming is going on. They've got enough shit to do.
If can i express my opinion, this mechanism could be no to fair for players living in other countries. For exemple, i sold to Artex a silver power katana last week but we weren't able to match yet because he lives in us and I live in europe.
What strong words? That's high school level English... Maybe you shouldn't call people idiots? Also, where did you learn to hold a conversation? Generally, when a person discusses their reasoning for a certain belief, a rational human being responds with a rebuttal that may include some counter points. You, on the other hand, respond with a statement... Not only was it a statement, it was a subjective statement that can only invoke one possible response... You are a master debater, my friend. I disagree with One's argument, but my reasons have already been stated by other people. That's all
@Cynic If and when you do business with new players, like myself, I hope that you will take the time to acknowledge the transaction on the forums so we get the credit and a reputation can be started.
and what about a kind of Seller point? for every auction well ended you can take a seller point... ?bullshits?
There's a difference between a new player buying 50 tmaps and a "new player" placing a 5M bid. It's easy to distinguish between a new player and a what's simply a new forum account.
