I supplied TB with Agapite weapons recently. The runic has a CHANCE to add +4 ONLY to your damage, not including Tactics modifiers. The agapite runic halberd that Hate has is a +15 Power(+7dmg) that is Exceptional (+4dmg). It's beastly, but it is not some mega weapon that you cannot compete with. I barely ever even pull up my halberd because %90 of the time, I'm dropping shit hits of sub-20dmg. Do all the math you want, the variance implied was clearly skewed by some bad hits, etc.
Blaise, how are those tactics mods applied with runics? Is it random between +0 and +25? I was under the assumption that the tactics mod was fixed, based on the runic hammer's metal type. I.E. dull copper would be +0 or maybe +5, gold would be +25, etc.
That is correct, it is based on the level of runic being used. Agapite is an Indestructible +15 Power on any successfully crafted item. When you get an Exceptional, you get the +4 bonus and possibly the bonus to item durability also but I've never really checked that.
The thing is, tactics is a % bonus modifier. Not a hard dmg modifier. So its exponential with the magic and the exceptional bonus as well. It all adds up to runics being ridonk.
Actually, I don't think that's the case. I believe Chris/Telamon told me that the Ruin-Vanq modifiers (and presumably, exceptional) were added after the Tactics, Strength, and Anatomy bonuses.
