This would obviously not replace that or allow for hyper secure home access. But it will need some common sense functionality and a price to match the usefulness.

To clarify, the teleporter tiles CAN'T be used inside the same hous to bounce between floors or CAN be used to bounce between floors although that's not their primary use?

Primary use is to go from your L tower roof to keep/castle/Fort & Vice Versa - correct?

Stoked about the house placement surveyor tool though - that's extremely cool, I remember them fondly.

I remember at one point additional trash cans were discussed too - is that still a possibility? I'd love to be able to have additional trash cans dotted around my house.

The teleporters would allow travel between houses on the same level, 1 tile apart. Much like tower bridging. We don't intend to add long distance teleporters or teleporters that function inside the same house. This is simply a way for creative players/guilds to connect houses. We are open to exploring other ideas but going to far would be out of place for our era/ruleset.

As for the surveyor this is a completely new item that shows you why a house wont place. Not a simple yes/no. So if a tree is blocking the house placement a visible item will be added to the world for 60 seconds to show that it was the cause of the placement failure.

The teleporters are going to end up being a small niche market. Allowing us to use them, say to get from the steps to the roof of a fort, would create a higher demand and sink more currency.

Here's an idea, allow guilds to combine their platinum, copper, and gold stacks to buy vendors that can sit in a guild house. For example, a tailor, stablemaster, or banker that will stay in a guild house. It would have to cost a massive amount of combined currency.

60k platinum so your guild can bod/bank/stable from the inside of a house? oh boy...

I mean, it's 60k plat. It took the original plat train a year to make 47k, which was divvied up among a ton of players. It would not be easy to churn out 60k plat.

But, you're right, I didn't look at it from the trammel aspect.... but, then again, so are moats/cy wipes/teleporters/etc

Cool, want a few of these. I wonder what character to give the Bestiary book... looks like another tamer reward.

    Reward Idea

    Horde Minion

A summoned pack animal that actively picks up things (from a programmed list of base/low level/trash) on the ground. Follows "caster" for xxx seconds.
    Is also a CUB interface.

    Shouldn't it be 'hoard' minion?

    Also,
I had an idea about add-ons for housing. Basically buying wall sections to customize the interior of your house. Only available in the same style of house, ie no plaster walls in keeps.
As well as customizing existing interior only walls, adding/removing/reversing doors, etc.

That's a very good idea. The only downside is items of this type would not have a transparency layer. So it might work best for half walls, or foundation items.
