    If anything the fact that miners can escape so fast is just motivational as it would be a challenge and much more satisfying to catch one and smash him Whack-a-mole style!

    The economy is broken in most games, the afk jailing thing surely stops people from afk macro mining, and I would've thought afk macro mining would end in death by pk usually anyway.

    Personally I think riding should be a skill, and I think Magery should require another skill as well for the utility spells, and another one for the buffs / heals and then eval int for damage spells. That's just my opinion though. I'm sure there are many inventive tactics that can be used as well as the cookie cutter builds.

    I'm just glad I haven't seen many Halberd wielding mages on horses running about.... yet.... lol!

    People are very passionate about it and some have created some epic hoards via recall mining, but the economy is still very healthy I would say. There are indeed a fair number of recall gatherers here, but the BOD system creates an un-ending need for ever more resources. Resources that go up for sale at reasonable rates are pretty much immediately gobbled up.

    While I personally dislike managing 3 clients, I dislike only receiving 6-8 plat for 2+ hrs of my time even more. Perhaps there could be a way to increase the drop rate during the tiers or increase the final payout from the boss if you wish us to stop using 2/3 characters.

    The drop rate is now similar to most any other platinum drop rate. A level 6 treasure chest gives 3 plat and anyone with the training can solo those at a rate of about 2-3 per hour, once you get good at it.

    So 6-9 plat an hour and no one knows where you are to grief you out of it.

    I don't think anyone should be able to easily rake in more than 6 plat in an hour or we'll all have ethereals for our mules before next summer.

    We actually have that in place already but I think people are unaware of it. Tossing a bunch of Blades and running around usually wont earn the bonus because the range checks tend to fail. All champion linked spawn has an extremely elevated chance to drop platinum, which is automatically provided to the damager, provided with are within 12 tiles of the monster when it dies. If you are out of range it simply falls to the corpse. In our testing the average player working a champion spawn could earn 3-6 bonus platinum + 6 from the final champion.

    We do have plans to adjust this ever so slightly to improve the drop rates for the 3rd/4th tier monsters however.

    As for the champion changes we are not going to make them harder, but we will make it harder to line up 3 accounts with ebolt macros in relative safety.

    YES! CTF! 1V1! . Quick question horseback and random teams for the CTFs?

    The intention for CTF team setup is a gump where you can use arrows/buttons to 'switch' teams, while viewing the list of people who signed up and what team they are on.
    This will allow players to see their friends/enemies and select the team they wish to be on.
    If there is an imbalance, once the match begins, the numbers will automatically balance out for team size, regardless of what you selected. I believe this will also give priority to those who signed up first.
    In other words, if me and five buddies show up and select team blue and don't change sides before the start, people who chose team blue after us, will get autobalanced if red team is short on players.

    If you remember blaise we had an issue with that system when we first tried to have ctfs. Maybe it was the super close combat but Random teams should be standard. Have 6 people in vent dropping doesn't feel right to everyone who goes to the event. Not only will random teams make the teams even they will allow you to fight against people you know are good. For instance me fighting sneakyt, hatecrime etc. Signing up 5 players all on the same team and then having 5 people that just randomly signed up will not be fun. The Imbalance comes from communication in vent, skype, mumble. Having random teams just makes sense. Or when signups are over have like a shuffle and be randomly placed onto a team.

    Yeah, quite frankly, I'm sorry, if people teaming up with voice chat is a problem, I don't really give a shit. If you're not using voice, you're not really with your team.

    So no, if it's random teams only, I'll gladly never attend a single match.

    If somehow it balanced the teams out randomly, but based on skill template, MAYBE it would be worth playing.

    Otherwise, hell fucking no.

    I enjoy trash talk to friends in vent. What would be better then winning a CTF....killing battle 14 times in the event. See where im going with this. Instead of an insta win from any organized team. How bout random competition between friends. Either way is fine as long as the maps are pretty big and where 10 Pdexxers can't surround you in a 10 by 10 tiles CTF.

    I enjoy TT in various channels, but I like to play team games with my team. Sure, I could have fun playing against them, and have more than once, but completely random teams means I will not play at all.

    At least 10 dexxers have to SURROUND you to do anything. Whereas the mages just stand in their flag position holding ebolts. SUPER CHALLENGING. lol

    Just adding some more feedback - Baracoon is of course where the worst 'abuse' happens of multi accounts. He lasts about 10 seconds currently against an average crowd.

    I posted this quote on the false topic so i post it here again

    Just to sum up this:
    - Platinum could be limited by boss/spawn difficulty (Vermin 40-60? to Forest Lord 200?)
    - A System of only one platinum reward per player (only 1 per IP or only platinum to registered accounts - so familiy accounts and LAN-Partys could also profit)

    I think the argument goes, one can farm 60K+ per hour on Dragons and Shadow Wyrms, why do a champ spawn for only 25K per hour?

    I don't know for certain though as I am not up to full farming yet (still in a 10-15k per hour bracket).

    All things considered, I think 50k is a good estimate of an hourly rate one can get with Taming (and perhaps Barding) higher-end monsters. This would include re-equipping, banking, taming the dragons, money spent on instruments, etc. I think you can get close to this with a warrior or warrior/bard and a good slayer weapon.

    I don't necessarily have a strong opinion about what champ spawns should net you, but I think the current available output is absurd and damaging to the shard.

    The best I can really muster on my fighter (non-bard) chars is about 30-40k per hour and it's most challenging because of the travel. I have like 4x the gear/weight as my bard who only carries two instruments and 30/each reagent everywhere.

    I full agree with Dalavar with the about 50k/h. Because of teaming up champ spawns could give a little bit more.
    What i personally dont understand why there is no platinum limit. Where is the motivation to do a spawn with 5-6people when just waiting for 15 people give the same profit.
    First step may be limit the platinum drop for each champion.
    Vermin horde/Despise can easily be done in 1 Hour by a team of 6 full PvE-Characters (lets say 4 Tamers + 2 Bards) - 60 Platinum should be the max to get from that spawn. 60 Platinum / X Players seems to be fair - IF People are fair and only come in with 1 character
    Especially for guild champion spawns there is no more reason to bring in alts if the platinum is splitted (as long as the spawn is guild only)

    Currently the using of alts is unfair to players who just use one character. They make 3x the profit from it.

    And... rise the drops from champs. Only 3-4 magic items i saw are laughable. This could be an extra profit from doing champs.

    I really like Anarchy's idea regarding platinum drops from the champs. It would be better if the easier champ bosses like Baracoon didn't drop as
    much plat as the harder bosses. I think this would provide more balance, while promoting shard wide events to do the harder champ bosses.
    Also maybe the harrower could only drop like 10 plat, but the tentacles would also yield a plat coin to high damagers?
