Some pictures from my playing days.

Nothing says ego like a huge letter T built out of treasure chests. Stacking bags with a space in between each one for easy access as well.

Or the more casual lounge setup with secure containers. Wooden boxes dyed with furniture dye were always a personal favorite.

Totally stealing some of the ideas from the lounge, for how to finish off the roof of my keep.

LOL! I'm totally stealing the wall of chests with the letter 'M' built into it. :D

    Missed this comment before.

    I do something like this:

I just use a representative from the slayer group represented. I usually will put super slayers in the same container -- all reptilian in one bag, all repond in one bag, all arachnid in one bag, etc.

this thread just goes to show that I don't have as much stuff to store as I feared I did

What were you using as a spacer between the bags? I have gold coins -- you can see a slight nib defining the edge between bags -- but I don't see the actual object between it for yours.

I'd guess fishsteaks that he would unlock/eat after locking down the bag above. :p

Since we are allowed three accounts. This is what I do to have a character on a different account have access to items in a house
with the standard table method of securing entrance. I place one container on top of a table. Secure it and pick option "friends" than friend
to house whatever other characters I wish to use this house.
For storage, I place same type items in containers in various rooms, depending on size of house. Can also stack containers in one room,
same type use age against the different walls.
This leaves other rooms open for decoration.

    hope this helps some

Keeping the bags locked down defeats a lot of the purpose of doing this.

Could probably get away with a gold coin stacking method. I think he may have had them locked down due to weight but I can't say I ever touched the bags when he took me for a tour. :)

Well, in my picture above, only the topmost bag needs to be locked down, and only until its full. Bags below the top one are already at 125 items -- no sense in keeping them taking up a lockdown at that point. Its feasible if you have 20 bags -- less feasible once you start approaching half the lockdowns of a keep just to store stuff.

The gold coins work fine, was just curious if there was a less-visible option to use :)

If you aren't using towers of dyed backpacks and your brain (memorization), you're doing storage wrong.

Or you just don't like how it looks.....

I can stuff my money in my mattress too, but I prefer a nice wall safe.

Heheheheh... Yeah maybe we should make a different thread for smaller house storage creativity. I am also very sorry to some of you but the alternating colored bags are just straight ugly and you need to be more innovative...

They are highly efficient though, which is the entire point. You could very easily accommodate massive storage in a small house, if you stacked them accordingly behind a table wall.

I don't play UO to play house and dress up. I just need efficient storage for my organ collection.
