Part of the Knights of Sosaria's rules is that all members shall not harm innocents.

From the Guild Rules we have this:

Keeping to those rules, the new Rune Library and Guild Hall at the Yew Gate that would have been quite useful to many of the new players of this shard and guild members alike, will not be made public. KoS cannot knowingly enable players that would seek to harm the new players of this server and the server in general. By encouraging players to use this library at the Yew Gate with an RRG Post on the same screen would only serve to encourage their deaths. KoS would be the enabling factor in that equation because without the KoS Guild Hall and Library being public and attracting new players, RRG would not have an easy setup to prey on new players similar to what they do on Ocllo island, etc... It would be a different story if the bulk of our KoS playerbase actually played the game at the same time as RRG and could defend these innocent players, but that is simply not the case.

Most PK's on this server respect Rune Libraries and Ocllo Island, along with other public establishments, simply for the fact that they help to make the shard flourish. RRG apparently does not have this respect for the shard as is evidenced by their murdering of new players on Ocllo island, at Stormhold, and now at KoS's Rune Library.

So, to that end, the doors will remain barred. The property will remain dormant. RRG will not be served new players on a platter for easy killing and griefing. KoS will not take actions that encourage the destruction of new players and in turn this server. If RRG would like to setup an entire guild town and library to lure new players into for easy killing and trash this server, then they can do that on their own time instead of taking advantage of the hard work of dozens of other players who simply do not have enough time to devote to playing the game like RRG clearly does.

At the end of the day, it is the hard work of dozens of other people working to setup guilds and guild towns that give this opportunity to RRG. So, we will simply remove this from the "game" so-to-speak. Without the traffic afforded these locations by having them public, RRG will have no reason to visit. Sadly, players won't get to benefit from such useful buildings either, as a result of RRG's actions.

Its players like RRG that completely destroyed the last server I played on and I simply will not allow them to do the same here. If I had the time in real life to devote to killing them all myself, I would, but I simply do not. I'm a Weekend Warrior at best these days and that is simply the unfortunate truth. Combine that with the RRG players playing at times opposite of my own and there is simply nothing I can do about it. So they win, I guess.

Upfront: I really am not associated with RRG etc, but I want to defend these guys a bit. All they demand is mere 10k AND they kind of do RP (well, no hardcore RP, but a bit). All I want to say is, these guys aren't your normal PKs that can completely destroy your UO fun. You either have to take the call to arms, run away or simply duck down and pay some GPs.

But sure, it's absolutely legitimate to fight against them and e.g. shut off access to the KoS library. I just wouldn't go that far as to say, they are able to destroy this shard (or try to).

    Fun facts with Curly Sue...

    1) RRG does not target new players. RRG targets all players. There is a young program for new players.

    2) RRG does not wish to "ruin" the shard. RRG loves this shard.

    3) RRG will not hunt tax paying citizens. Pay your taxes and fear not the RRG (20k per week for your guild). This does not include mining. We will even take the heads off the tax collection outpost while taxes are up to date.

    4) There are only 3 RRG members, much less than the number of KOS members on during operational hours.. Plus, i'm sure anyone on the shard would love to see us go down.

    5) Getting PKd is part of the game. It's not the end of the world. We provide an element of excitement.

    6) RRG takes pride in their work. RRG is against necromancy with reds. Starting with Tyrone, RRG vows to keep dead PKs dead (by changing their names) when killed.

    7) RRG is against blessed items and ethereal beasts. We have no such items so all deaths suck balls...

    8) RRG rolls with top tier wepons and armor.. Looting a dead RRG corpse should be quite fulfilling knowing the name will die and the loots quite valuable..

We are sorry you feel the way you do Lightshade. You seem like a nice guy. We don't wish to ruin your fun. You can always try paying your taxes. It's quite the draw when recruiting knowing you are a tax current guild in good standing with the RRG.

    Much love...

20k a week for the entire guild..... SOMEONE PAY THE TAXES ALREADY! Its pixels. Any guild member can stop this savagery. Put pride aside and do the smart thing here. My miners pay their taxes to the RRG, why? Cause its the smart business decision.

Actions speak louder than words and your actions belie your comments. Killing players on Ocllo island working their first main character, typically a provoker, and stealing a bag of store bought instruments was the norm with you guys for quite some time. You would basically kill them before they even got started. I know because I fielded the complaints and tried to go to the rescue many times only to find you guys had already ran away most of the time.

The Guild Hall with its extensive rune library will remain private and will as such not be an easy score for your guild to take advantage of players using a rune library to get out into the world. We had intended for this building to be a good location for all players to get out into the dungeons from, but again, I will not setup the easy murdering of new players.

Our already established library will remain public for those wishing to use it. So far, most of your characters are banned out from that building. Players wishing to use it may do so at their own discretion. That you attack players at such a location again belies your comments. Rune Libraries are an exhaustive effort for the good of the shard and most PK's know that camping them is not a good thing for the shard.

Cling to your feigned role-playing if you like, but remember...if you're going to role-play, you actually have to talk to the players in-game...unless you're role-playing a gang of Murderous Mutes. If that is the case, then please just stop talking and stay in character. ;)

While we are talking facts lets clear this one up, you say this as if you three are fighting off our entire guild in some kind of true pvp war. You and I both know you would NEVER come to fight with more then one of us on pvp toons to combat the three of you.

The only time your reds leave your hiding keep is is when you have scouted/tracked an entire area with Jerome and know that your victim will have No chance of putting up a fight. You three would NEVER engage in a true fair fight and have proved it many times. If this is the style of play you intend to use don't expect anyone to have any respect for you, or think that you are some sort of epic PKs or pvp'ers.

Keep the truth right up front guys, your gankers who cower when faced with a real fight, and an insult to every true PK on the server.

Keeping an advantage is one thing, but not showing up for the war you started at all is another. This is a game, this is not some life or death situation. when you die you just res and keep going, no one asked them to change their names or run around with 300k weapons/ar. This is just an excuse to not engage in real fighting.

If you think killing new players that have no defense, or the ability to recover from losing there items, and then running back to hide in a house so the big boys cant get you is the way a war should be fought then i suppose you have a point.

They are very structured in their cowardice. They only attack during off times when no one else is online or around. They only attack lone targets. They focus on new players.

If this is a war, then their tactics are akin to killing your children in their beds instead of fighting you in the daylight. :(
