Just to confirm, a keep can absolutely fit, I believe either zoning needs to be adjusted or it has to be placed by God himself.

This picture reflects a properly placed keep (according to our ruleset) in the valley. The only thing that was modified was the zoning.

There was a keep there on catskills, it was to the right of the keep in the pic, but after trammel and a lot of the classic housing went away, a keep was no longer able to fit and the largest that the valley could hold was a tower, a large marble, and possibly a small house or two.

(I know what I'm talking about on this one, my first guild was in that valley before trammel on cats, and I've owned that spot on UOSA 3 times now)

So if you were going by 2000 era it should hold a tower and a marble and one or two small houses

If the keep could be placed maybe 2-3 tiles east - would be killer!

Free bump for an awesome location!

So, just to be clear, The Telamon has decreed NOPE on the keep? Because a keep would take this spot from awesome to ridiculously awesome.

I agree, the classic placed keep I remember was centered and didn't overwhelm the entrance like that. It looked okay but was def a classic placement (put down when players were putting houses on top of other houses and in towns, etc) I think it would work here but Tela would probably want to eye it and get the aesthetics of the placement just right. The tower I had here was superb, a keep would be sexy, but the keep really was old school UO and judging by most of your opinions of the game and the thief class, the old school feel isn't what you really want here.

Mes says that because TT doesn't want / can't have it. Just like the black knight. Has nothing to do with making the "dungeon entrance pretty awful. Regardless of what I think. IF TT can't have it... NO ONE CAN. Yeah I won the UO:R first boat race.

I re-did it. This is the farthest it can go from the dungeon entrance whilst still using our ruleset. (Same thing, only area that needs to change is zoning.)

Yeah, I'd bid pretty fuckin high if this keep fit. That's where I have had it best placed on test before too Cynic. Rather, on my own test shard.

If we could give it to Lord Krake for the Project Sanctuary...perhaps. :D
