Thanks! I put my alt there, in the closest outfit I could find, for scale. It's just about precisely the size of a player character. The item is called Suit of Silver Armor. I tried to put it on the stairs but it won't let me place within one tile of the door. The deed is not blessed, and you can place it without having LOS to the tile you want to place it on. But you can't place it above the floor, or raise it with the house deco tool.
