Its really up to you. Dropping eval will kill your offence and youll have trouble killing even a cyclops. Someone mentioned in another thread like this that discording monsters only to have them kill each other while slower and weaker is counter productive. In my opinion, one should really focus on one bard skill at a time. All the bard skills share a LONG recycle timer so using them in concert ( ) is actually really difficult. Id use the bard skills like this: Provocation - Use for crowd control and for tackling large groups at once. Peacemaking - Use as support with other bards using the other two skills. Its also marginally useful to farm low spawn spots and beat down monsters with a slayer one baddie at a time. Discord(Enticement) - Use to make REALLY tough monsters easier to deal with. Its really only practical against bosses or champs as all of the most profitable monsters can reliably be peaced or provoked without discord. Discord is ESPECIALLY useful when combined with taming or lumberjacking. It makes monsters that are normally much too hard to kill more manageable, as well as making normal monsters SUPER easy to kill.
If I could only have one, I would be the same as my only one character for all around utility. Although here I will probably make others. Evaluating intelligence Meditation Magery Resisting Spells Hiding Stealth Lockpicking
I find the Disco/Provo combination to be highly effective, especially with boss mobs. Once you get them discorded the lesser mobs you provo on them do a lot better. That and the %5 bonus that GM Discordance gives to Provo makes it work that much better.
I would do a Crafter of some sorts with Magery at first...but would probably transition to some kind of bard/tamer after a year or so...then would transition to a PvPer a year or so after that. I've never liked doing the same thing for too long. I just wish that this was the case on Free Shards in General. Could you imagine the community and interactions that would spring up out of necessity...? I personally think that this is one of the biggest mistakes that all free shards make, but its a bit of the genie is out of the lamp issue now. The tightest communities grow out of necessity, though. Remove the need of others and you wind up with some careless actions. Oh well, maybe someday. In the meantime, this is the best server out there.
Thats a good point on boss fights. I never though of that. If you were gonna build a toon for soloing a lot of boss mobs I can see that having a lot of merit. On a shard with 15 character slots thats really not as far fetched of an idea as one would think. I still think that that the difference between 5% and 10% is too small to notice in a practical sense. I also think that things would go much more efficiently by just grabbing a friend with his disco tamer to work with you on your provo tamer. Even with splitting the loot I think yould come out with more over time!
