Rewards in the event are based on performance. And we toggle the IP limiter to allow families to play together as needed. However should someone sneak in a second player the system is designed to address that. With the new scoring system your just wasting your time trying to use 2 accounts. People will still try to join of course thinking it was like last year where killing 1 thing resulted in a reward.
I'd tie gift bags into the h coin reward system. like if you don't get any h coins you aren't eligible for a bag. people who just afk characters are still eligible to get a gift bag- I have received a necro reg, so there are decent items to be had there.
crafting shit is pretty solid this time. I haven't seen any tinker kits but it seems like the number of scissors was increased, I didn't have as many people asking me for scissors this time.

Thanks! Glad this is still going! Real life has prevented me from attending any of these! Friday looks like the day I can actually make it! What character classes seem to be working best for this? Bards? Tamers? etc etc?
Ill bring my bard archer.. My most versatile character. What can I bring? Anything or I start with nothing?
Start with nothing. The starting locations have some basic supplies available in various chests and boxes.
David heres the basic breakdown.... At the start you run around naked going through chests and other containers looking for anything useful. Sleeveless shirts/short pants/cloth squares for bandages, stam/heal/cure pots armor of choice/weapon type of choice. Make a restock macro with all of those things and hit the closest chests possible when you spawn asap and any other chests after that. Once you get enough metal things that can be smelted down go to the hall of virtues and look for a crafter. There will be several there that will trade you your smeltables for your weapon of choice. FYI I have only seen blacksmiths there.....there might not be fletchers but there are plenty of crap NPC bows and arrows to be found. If you have a melee character of any type id suggest it. After you are geared run around killing mobs. Try to focus on staying with the group doing the boss spawns and doing as much damage as possible to the boss. *** There is a map out there somewhere that shows all of the boss spawn locations. I cant find a link. Look for it *** After the final boss everyone respawns out of the instance and you get your holiday bag. MAKE SURE you are not overloaded so it doesnt drop to the floor. Your holiday bonus is based on several categories damage/damage to bosses/support and perhaps others. GL HF
I have a Melee Character that is 7x GM but doesn't have barding skills. Maybe Ill bring him. And thanks for the quick run down!
Here are some pictures of the fun so far! Good shot of the crowd who turned out for the first run through. The various groups pool together as they stream into British's defiled throne room. The turnout was amazing. FWOOM! As most folks were making a mess the most honorable Lady Westra without a word began cleaning up after everyone. The ever brave Erza Scarlet pounds out a few swords and pieces of armor as her knights defend the smithy to the last. Stormhold's small mining party harvests some ore for weaponry. Many Sosarians were nearly trampled to death in this crowd disaster. Crafters dolling out much needed weapons as they dodge the undead. Pretty badass @Chris !! You've out done yourself this year.
Any chance we could have the event times in GMT as well for those of us the other side of the pond? I only ask because of the awesome GMT events calendar elsewhere on the site. I am using my phone's world clock but have aspergers and so it takes me a few minutes to work these things out and so i have missed the events more than once.
