Any chance I can pick up lemondrop? @Gwenno feed it a regular steak first, then put in in the stable. wait a few real life days. take it out and animal lore it. it will say "this animal craves a special meat". then feed it two pieces of the green "peculiar meat" (1 piece at a time), and it will bond. make sure you have a free bond slot.
